SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a well refined gasoline containing normal commercial additives. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as
3、 initial fill fuel for vehicles designed to operate on gasoline in India. Additives are present to protect the fuel system. This material is not specifically intended for use in certification testing. It may be used for engine hot test, mileage accumulation or general fueling. 3. REQUIREMENTS This m

There shall be no obvious foreign odors. 3.12 ADDITIVES The material shall contain normal commercia
12、l additives, e.g., deicers, detergents, etc., at concentrations representative of good commercial practice in the receiving locale (unless otherwise specified). The additive package shall be formulated for a “clean-up“ level of detergency for control of deposits in electronic fuel injectors, as well
13、 as a “keep-clean“ level of detergency for the entire induction system, including intake valves. This level of performance must be demonstrated by actual vehicle or engine test data supplied to the responsible Ford product engineering activity. The test procedure must be agreed upon between this act
14、ivity and the supplier. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.1 FLAMMABILITY This material represents a potential fire hazard. The Manufacturing Engineering Department or other responsible
15、activity shall notify both the Security and Safety Units of its presence to assure that proper fire precautions are provided.
