、a products received from the Wallops and Alaska ADEOS-II Data Processing Systems. Gaps in the SeaWinds product were characterized by JPL to be intermittent in nature, of variable size, and located at irregular intervals in the data products. Reprocessing of the raw data by NASDA yielded 100% data re
、covery. Thus, while there was 100% data capture, data gaps were introduced by the DS resulting in approximately 8% data loss in the Level 0 product (i.e. 8 out of every 100 minutes of data was not included in the Level 0 product). These gaps were undetected at the processing station until reported b
、y JPL and NASDA.Lesson(s) Learned: Use adequate and appropriate Test Data/Live Data to use in all phases of data processing system verification.Recommendation(s): a. Establish a baseline set of high fidelity test data (live and simulated data) to use for repeated tests with known results at each sit
、e. Specific to the ADEOS-II NGN efforts, the Tiger Team is preparing a single session live data set from raw data captured at WFF; however, several sessions should be individually recorded to create a larger baseline of live data and copied to both the WFF and ASF locations. Provide project with det
、ailed characterization of data required.b. Request data sufficiently ahead of launch to allow use in validating ground system operations. If the requested data cannot be provided or cannot be provided in a meaningful timeframe, identify shortcomings in testing and associated risks that will result.c
