SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers a nitrile (NBR) rubber in the form of sheet, strip, tubing, extrusions, and mo

Test specimens shall be prepared and mounted in accordance with ASTM D518, Method B. 3.3 Quality The product, as r
24、eceived by purchaser, shall be uniform in quality and condition, smooth, as free from foreign materials as commercially practicable, and free from imperfections detrimental to usage of the product. 3.4 Tolerances Shall conform to all applicable requirements of AMS2279. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISION
25、S 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The vendor of the product shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible for performing all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to

29、 or on the initial shipment of the product to a purchaser, when a change in ingredients and/or processing requires reapproval as in 4.4.2, and when purchaser deems confirmatory testing to be required. 4.3 Sampling and Testing Shall be as follows: 4.3.1 For Acceptance Tests Sufficient product shall b
30、e taken at random from each lot to perform all required tests. The number of determinations for each requirement shall be as specified in the applicable test procedure or, if not specified therein, not less than three. 4.3.1.1 If specimens cannot be prepared from the product, ASTM test specimens pre
31、pared from the same batch and state of cure shall be used. When the product is an extrusion of such shape that suitable test specimens cannot be cut from the product, a separate flat strip test sample from the same production lot shall be supplied upon request. This strip shall be prepared from tubi
32、ng 1.000 inch 0.063 inch (25.40 mm 1.60 mm) in OD by 0.075 inch 0.008 inch (1.90 mm 0.20) in wall thickness, mechanically slit and flattened into a strip while being extruded, and cured in the same manner as production product. When the product is a molded shape from which test specimens cannot be c
33、ut, a slab, 6 in2(152 mm) by 0.075 inch 0.008 inch (1.90 mm 0.20 mm) thick, molded from the same batch of compound shall be supplied upon request. 4.3.1.2 A lot shall be all product from the same batch of compound processed in one continuous run and presented for vendors inspection at one time. An i
34、nspection lot shall not exceed 500 pounds (227 kg) and may be packaged in smaller quantities and delivered under the basic lot approval provided lot identification is maintained. 4.3.1.3 A batch shall be the quantity of compound run through a mill or mixer at one time. 4.3.1.4 When a statistical sam
35、pling plan has been agreed upon by purchaser and vendor, sampling shall be in accordance with such plan in lieu of sampling as in 4.3.1 and the report of 4.5 shall state that such plan was used. 36、 purchaser and vendor. 4.4 Approval 4.4.1 Sample product shall be approved by purchaser before product for production use is supplied, unless such approval be waived by purchaser. Results of tests on production product shall be essentially equivalent to those on the approved sample. 4.4.2 Vendor sha
37、ll use ingredients, manufacturing procedures, processes, and methods of inspection on production product which are essentially the same as those used on the approved sample product. If necessary to make any change in ingredients, in type of equipment for processing, or in manufacturing procedures, v
38、endor shall submit for reapproval a statement of the proposed changes in ingredients and/or processing, and, when requested, sample product. Production product made by the revised procedure shall not be shipped prior to receipt of reapproval. 4.5 Reports The vendor of the product shall furnish with
39、each shipment a report showing the results of tests to determine conformance to the acceptance test requirements and, when performed, to the periodic test requirements, and stating that the product conforms to the other technical requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, lot
40、 number, AMS3213M, vendors compound number, form and size or part number, and quantity. 4.6 Resampling and Retesting If any specimen used in the above tests fails to meet the specified requirements, disposition of the product may be based on the results of testing three additional specimens for each
41、 original nonconforming specimen. Failure of any retest specimen to meet the specified requirements shall be cause for rejection of the product represented. Results of all tests shall be reported. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Identification and Packaging Shall be in accordance with AMS2810. 6. AC
42、KNOWLEDGMENT A vendor shall mention this specification number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders. 7.
