29、ns include, but are not limited to, cracks, splits, seams, inclusions, or severe cross-hatching (surface breaks) that cannot be removed by light hand-sanding using 180 grit or finer sandpaper. 3.5 Tolerances Shall conform to all applicable requirements of ANSI H35.2 or ANSI H35.2M. 4. QUALITY ASSURA
30、NCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The vendor of tubing shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the tubi
31、ng conforms to specified requirements. 32、as annealed (3.3.1.1) and after solution and precipitation heat treatment (3.3.2.1), quality (3.4), and tolerances (3.5) are acceptance tests and, except for composition, shall be performed on each inspection lot. 4.2.2 Periodic Tests Flattening (3.3.1.2) and flarability (3.3.1.3) are periodic tests
33、 and shall be performed at a frequency selected by the vendor unless frequency of testing is specified by purchaser. 4.3 Sampling and Testing Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. Specimens for flarability test (3.3.1.3) shall be full tubes or sections cut from tubes. The end of the specimen to be fl
34、ared shall be cut square, with the cut end smooth and free from burrs, but, except for sizes 0.375 inches (9.52 mm) and under, not rounded. 4.4 ReportsThe vendor of tubing shall furnish with each shipment a report stating that the tubing conforms to the composition and showing the numerical results
35、of tests to determine conformance to the other acceptance test requirements and when performed to the periodic tests. This report shall include the purchase order number, inspection lot number, AMS4080N, size, and quantity. The report shall also include the manufacturer and size of the mill product.
36、 4.5 Resampling and Retesting Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 IdentificationShall be in accordance with ASTM B 666/B 666M. 5.2 Packaging5.2.1 Protective Treatment Product shall be protected from damage during storage and shipment by a method determined by vendor
37、unless specified by purchaser. Examples of typical protective methods include but are not limited to interleaving with paper or oiling of the surface. Product produced under this specification shall not be oiled. 5.2.2 Tubing shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with ASTM B 660 and in compli
38、ance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the tubing to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 6. ACKNOWLEDGMENT A vendor shall mention this specification number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purch
39、ase orders. 7. REJECTIONS Tubing not conforming to this specification, or to modifications authorized by purchaser, will be subject to rejection. 42、pt that the flare is folded back on itself such that the cut edge is inside the flare near the ID of the tube. Definition and illustration of single flaring is shown in MS 33584; double flaring isdefined and illustrated in MS 33583. 8.3 Hardness should not be lower than 85 HRE, determined in accorda
43、nce with ASTM E 18. Hardness has been used to verify that tubing is properly processed, but an out-of-specification hardness number is not always indicative of product with out of specification tensile strength. Further analysis including material composition verification, heat treat process paramet
44、er review, and/or tensile property measurement on product with out-of-range hardness may be necessary. 8.4 Dimensions and properties in inch/pound units and the Fahrenheit temperatures are primary: dimensions and properties in SI units and the Celsius temperatures are shown as the approximate equiva
45、lents of the primary units and are presented only for information. 8.5 Purchase documents should specify not less than the following.
