5、um Alloy Sheet and Plate, Alclad 6.3Cu - 0.30Mn - 0.18Zr - 0.10V - 0.06Ti (Alclad 2219-O) Annealed (Composition similar to UNS A92219) RATIONALE AMS4096D revises Properties (3.3.1.1, 3.3.3, Tables 5 and 7) and Reports (4.4.1), and is a Five Year Review and update of this specification. 1. SCOPE 1.1

6、Form This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of sheet and plate 0.020 to 0.499 inch (0.50 to 12.50 mm), inclusive, in nominal thickness, clad on two sides (see 8.3). 1.2 Application This specification has been used typically for parts requiring high strength up to 600 F (315 C). Thes

7、e products are also well suited for cryogenic applications and where welding and maximum corrosion resistance are required, but usage is not limited to such applications. 1.2.1 Certain design and processing procedures may cause these products to become susceptible to stress-corrosion cracking after

8、heat treatment; ARP823 recommends practices to minimize such conditions. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS The issue of the following documents in effect on the date of the purchase order forms a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. The supplier may work to a subsequent revision of a doc

9、ument unless a specific document issue is specified. 16、erties The product shall conform to the following requirements, determined in accordance with AMS2355 on the mill product. 3.3.1 As Annealed 3.3.1.1 Tensile Properties Product 0.020 to 0.499 inch (0.50 to 12.50 mm), inclusive, in nominal thickness shall meet the requirements of Table 3. 27、d from internal and external imperfections detrimental to usage of the product. 3.5 Tolerances Shall conform to all applicable requirements of ANSI H35.2 or ANSI H35.2M. SAE INTERNATIONAL $06 Page 5 of 6 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The producer of the product sh

28、all supply all samples for producers tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements. 4.2 Classification of Tests 4.

29、2.1 Acceptance Tests Composition (3.1), tensile properties as annealed (3.3.1.1) and after solution and precipitation heat treatment (3.3.2.1), and tolerances (3.5) are classified as acceptance tests and, except for composition, shall be performed on each lot. 4.2.2 Periodic Tests Bending as anneale

30、d (3.3.1.2), bending after solution and precipitation heat treatment (3.3.2.2) and cladding thickness (3.3.4) are classified as periodic tests and shall be performed at a frequency selected by the producer unless frequency of testing is specified by purchaser. 4.3 Sampling Shall be in accordance wit

31、h AMS2355. 4.4 Reports The producer of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report stating that the product conforms to the chemical composition and tolerances showing the numerical results of tests on each inspection lot to determine conformance to the other acceptance test requirements a

32、nd stating that the product conforms to the other specified requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, inspection lot number(s), AMS4096D, size, and quantity. The report shall also identify the producer, the mill product form, and the mill produced size. 4.4.1 When product si

33、ze is outside the range covered by 1.1, the report shall contain a statement to that effect. 4.5 Resampling and Retesting Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Identification Shall be in accordance with ASTM B666/B666M. 5.2 Protective Treatment Product shall be protect

34、ed from damage during storage and shipment by a method determined by the producer unless specified by purchaser. Examples of typical methods include but are not limited to interleafing with paper or oiling of the surface. 5.3 Packaging The product shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with AS

35、TM B660/B660M and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the product to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 36、s revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase order. 7. REJECTIONS Material not conforming to this specification or to modifications authorized by purchaser will be subject to rejection. 8.
