SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of seamless drawn round tubing, having a wall thickn

15、irements of 3.7. 3.2.2 Tubing shall be supplied with an as-drawn surface finish; light polishing to remove minor surface conditions is permissible provided such conditions can be removed within specified dimensional tolerances. 3.3 Properties Tubing shall conform to the following requirements, deter
16、mined in accordance with AMS2355 on the mill product. 19、areas 586 565 7 3.4 Electrical Conductivity Shall not be less than 36% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard) (21 MS/m). 3.5 Exfoliation Corrosion Resistance The surface of the tube shall not exhibit exfoliation-corrosion greater than EB as illustrated in Figure 2, of ASTM G34. 3.6 Stress Cor
20、rosion Cracking C-Ring specimens machined according to ASTM G38, shall show no evidence of stress corrosion cracking when tested in accordance with ASTM G47 and stressed in the long-transverse direction at 40 ksi (276 MPa). 3.7 Quality Tubing, as received by purchaser, shall be uniform in quality an
21、d condition, sound, and free from foreign materials and from conditions detrimental to usage of the tubing. 3.7.1 Detrimental conditions include, but are not limited to, cracks, splits, seams, inclusions, folds or severe crosshatching (surface breaks) that cannot be removed by light hand-sanding, us
22、ing 180 grit or finer sandpaper. 3.8 Tolerances Shall conform to all applicable requirements of ANSI H35.2 or ANSI H35.2M. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The producer of the tubing shall supply all samples for producers tests and shall be responsible for the perfor
23、mance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the extrusions conform to specified requirements. SAE INTERNATIONAL AMS4356 Page 4 of 5 4.2 Classification of Tests 4.2.1 Acceptance Tests Composition (3.1), te
24、nsile properties (3.3.2), electrical conductivity (3.4), quality (3.7), and tolerances (3.8) are acceptance tests and, except for composition, shall be performed on each inspection lot. 4.2.2 Periodic Tests Exfoliation corrosion (3.5) and stress corrosion cracking (3.6) are periodic tests and shall
25、be performed at a frequency determined by the supplier unless frequency of testing is specified by purchaser. 4.3 Sampling and Testing Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 4.4 Reports The producer of tubing shall furnish with each shipment a report stating that the tubing conforms to the chemical co
26、mposition and tolerances and showing the numerical results of tests on each inspection lot to determine conformance to the other acceptance test requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, inspection lot number, AMS4356, size and quantity. The report shall also identify the pr
27、oducer, product form, producer lot number, and the size of the mill product. 4.4.1 When the product size is outside the range covered by 1.1, the report shall contain a statement to that effect. 4.5 Resampling and Retesting Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Identif
28、ication Shall be in accordance with ASTM B666/B666M. 5.2 Packaging 5.2.1 When specified, tubing shall be coated, prior to shipment, with a light, corrosion-inhibiting oil. 5.2.2 Tubing shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with ASTM B660 and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations
29、 pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the product to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 6. ACKNOWLEDGMENT A producer shall mention this specification number in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders. 7. REJECTIONS Tubing not conforming to this specifi
