SCOPE: 1.1 Form: This specification covers a ma

6、gnesium alloy in the form of plate. 1.2 Application: This product has been used typically for low-density, low-strength parts requiring rigidity and a high degree of flatness, dimensional stability, and weldability, but usage is not limited to such applications. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS: The issue of

15、e: 3.5.1 Thickness: Thickness variation within a plate shall not exceed 0.010 inch ( 0.25 mm). Allowable thickness variation from plate to plate shall be as specified in Table 3. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS: 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection: The vendor of

30、plate shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the plate conforms to specified requirements. 4.2 Classification of Test

31、s: All technical requirements are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each lot. 4.3 Sampling and Testing: Shall be in accordance with AMS 2355. 4.4 Reports: The vendor of plate shall furnish with each shipment a report stating that the plate conforms to the composition and other technical req

32、uirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, lot number, AMS 4382D, size, and quantity. 4.5 Resampling and Retesting: Shall be in accordance with AMS 2355. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY: 5.1 Identification: Shall be in accordance with AMS 2811. 5.2 Protective Treatment: Plate shall

33、be protected, during shipment and storage, by interleaving with suitable paper sheets. When specified, plate shall be oiled, prior to shipment, with a light corrosion-inhibiting oil in addition to interleaving. 5.3 Packaging: 5.3.1 Plate shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with ASTM B 660 a

34、nd in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the plate to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 35、uotations and when acknowledging purchaser orders. 7. REJECTIONS: Plate not conforming to this specification, or to modifications authorized by purchaser, will be subject to rejection. 8.
