QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsi
、bility for Inspection The producer of sheet shall supply all samples for producers tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the sheet conforms to the specif
、ied requirements. 4.2 Classification of Tests 4.2.1 Acceptance Tests Peel strength (3.3.4), thickness tolerance (3.5), and quality (3.4) are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each lot. 4.2.2 Periodic Tests Water resistance (3.3.3) is a periodic test and shall be performed at a frequency sel
、ected by the producer unless a frequency of testing is specified by purchaser. 4.3 Sampling and Testing A lot shall consist of all the shim stock of the same composition, type, class, nominal size and lateral dimensions, manufactured under essentially the same conditions, and submitted for acceptanc
、e at the same time. Sampling shall be in accordance with ANSI/ASQC Z1.4. Lot acceptance criteria shall be based on a single sampling plan with a zero acceptance number. 4.3.1 Peel tests and water immersion tests shall be performed on a strip of finished material, nominally 1 x 8 inches (25 x 203 mm)
、, cut from the finished material or from separately fabricated samples made in the same lot. 4.4 Reports The producer of sheet shall furnish with each shipment a report showing the results of tests for peel strength of each lot and stating that the sheet conforms to the other technical requirements.
、 This report shall include the purchase order number, lot number, AMS4949B, type, class, length and width as applicable, and quantity. 4.5 Resampling and Retesting Shall be in accordance with ANSI/ASQC Z1.4. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Identification Each sheet shall be legibly marked on one fac
、e with nominal shim stock thickness, thickness of each lamination, percentage of total thickness that is laminated, and AMS4949B. Markings shall be made with ink containing not more than traces of halogenated compounds. 5.2 Packaging Sheet shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with commercial
、 practice and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the sheet to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 6. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT A producer shall include this specification number in all quotations and when acknowledging purc
、hase orders. SAE INTERNATIONAL AMS4949 B Page 6 of 6 7. REJECTIONS Sheet not conforming to this specification, or to modifications authorized by purchaser, will be subject to rejection. 8. NOTES 8.1 Revision Indicator A change bar (I) located in the left margin is for the convenience of the user in
