15、ss bars are ordered to tolerances greater than those specified in 3.5 in which case the permissible maximum depth of decarburization shall be as agreed upon by purchaser and producer.3.3.3 MicrostructureShall consist of uniformly distributed spheroidized carbides free from carbide network. Standards

16、 for acceptance for lamellar pearlite may be agreed upon by purchaser and producer.3.4 QualityBars, as received by purchaser, shall be uniform in quality and condition, sound, and free from foreign materials and from imperfections detrimental to usage of the bars.3.5 TolerancesShall conform to the r

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS4.1 Responsi

19、bility for InspectionThe producer of bars shall supply all samples for producers tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the barsconform to specified requi

20、rements.4.2 Classification of TestsAll technical requirements are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each heat or lot as applicable.4.3 Sampling and TestingShall be in accordance with AMS2370.SAE INTERNATIONAL AMS5132L Page 4 of 54.4 ReportsThe producer of bars shall furnish with each shipme

21、nt a report showing the results of tests for chemical composition of each heat and for hardness of each lot. This report shall include the purchase order number, heat and lot numbers, AMS5132L, size, and quantity.4.5 Resampling and RetestingShall be in accordance with AMS2370.5. PREPARATION FOR DELI

22、VERY5.1 SizesExcept when exact lengths or multiples of exact lengths are ordered, straight bars will be acceptable in mill lengths of 6 to20 feet (1.8 to 6.1 m), but not more than 10% of any shipment shall be supplied in lengths shorter than 10 feet (3 m).5.2 IdentificationShall be in accordance wit

23、h AMS2806.5.3 Protective TreatmentBars shall be coated with a suitable corrosion-preventive compound prior to shipment.5.4 PackagingBars shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with commercial practice and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging

24、 and transportation of the bars to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery.6. ACKNOWLEDGMENTA producer shall mention this specification number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders.7. REJECTIONSBars not conforming to this specification, or to modificat

25、ions authorized by purchaser, will be subject to rejection.8.
