SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers a corrosion-resistant steel in the form of sheet, strip, and plate. 1.2 Application These products have been used typically for parts requiring oxidation resistance up to 1500
3、F (816 C) but useful at the higher temperatures only when stresses are low, but usage is not limited to such applications. 2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
13、3.1 Composition Shall conform to the percentages by weight shown in Table 1, determined by wet chemical methods in accordance with ASTM E353, by spectrochemical methods, or by other analytical methods acceptable to purchaser. 15、Cold rolled, annealed, and, unless annealing is performed in an atmosphere yielding a bright finish, descaled having a surface appearance in accordance with ASTM A480/A480M and AS4194 and conforming to 3.2.1.1 or 3.2.1.2 as applicable. Tensile and hardness shall be performed in accordance with ASTM A370. 3.3.1 Tensile Properties Shall be as shown in Table 2. Table 2 - Minimum

20、qual to the nominal thickness of the product, with axis of bend parallel to the direction of rolling. In case of dispute, the results of tests using the guided bend test of ASTM E290 shall govern. 3.4 Quality The product, as received by purchaser, shall be uniform in quality and condition, sound, an
21、d free from foreign materials and from imperfections detrimental to usage of the product. 3.5 Tolerances Shall conform to all applicable requirements of AMS2242. SAE INTERNATIONAL AMS5503F Page 4 of 5 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The vendor of the product shall s
22、upply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements. 4.2 Classification of Tests 4.2.1 Acc
23、eptance Tests Composition (3.1), tensile properties (3.3.1), bending (3.3.3), and tolerances (3.5) are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each heat or lot as applicable. 4.2.2 Periodic Tests Hardness (3.3.2) is a periodic test and shall be performed at a frequency selected by the vendor unle
24、ss frequency of testing is specified by purchaser. 4.3 Sampling and Testing Shall be in accordance with AMS2371. 4.4 Reports The vendor of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report showing the results of tests for composition of each heat and for tensile and bending properties of each lo
25、t. This report shall include the purchase order number, heat and lot numbers, AMS5503F, size, and quantity. 4.5 Resampling and Retesting Shall be in accordance with AMS2371. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Identification Shall be in accordance with AMS2807. 5.2 Packaging The product shall be prepare
26、d for shipment in accordance with commercial practice and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the product to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 6. ACKNOWLEDGMENT A vendor shall mention this specification number an
27、d its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders. 7.
