SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers a corrosion and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of sheet, strip, and plate up to 1.000 inch (25.4 mm) in nominal thickness. 1.2 Application These products have been used typically fo
7、r parts requiring corrosion and oxidation resistance up to 2000 F (1095 C), particularly where such parts may require welding during fabrication, but usage is not limited to such applications. 2. 16、wing condition: 3.2.1 Sheet and Strip Hot or cold rolled, annealed, and, unless annealing is performed in an atmosphere yielding a bright finish, descaled having a surface appearance in accordance with ASTM A480/A480M and AS4194 comparable to 3.2.1.1 and 3.2.1.2, as applicable, except that product 0
17、.010 inch (0.25 mm) and under in nominal thickness shall have a surface appearance comparable to a No. 2B finish. 3.2.1.1 Sheet No. 2D finish. 3.2.1.2 Strip No. 1 strip finish. 3.2.2 Plate Hot rolled, annealed, and, unless annealing is performed in an atmosphere yielding a bright finish, descaled. 3
18、.3 Heat Treatment The product shall be annealed by heating to a temperature not lower than 1600 F (870 C), holding at the selected temperature within 25 F (15 C) for a time commensurate with section thickness, and cooling at a rate equivalent to an air cool or faster, except as specified in 3.3.1. 3
19、.3.1 Continuous Heat Treating Process parameters (e.g., furnace temperature set points, heat input, travel rate, etc.) for continuous heat treating lines shall be established by the material producer and validated by testing of product to the other requirements of this specification. 3.4 Properties
20、The product shall conform to the following requirements: 3.4.1 Tensile Properties Shall be as shown in Table 2 for product up to 1.000 inch (25.4 mm) in nominal thickness, determined in accordance with ASTM E8/E8M. 23、between purchaser and producer. 3.4.2 Bending Product 0.1874 inch (4.76 mm) and under in nominal thickness shall, be tested in accordance with ASTM E290 using a sample prepared nominally 0.75 inch (19.0 mm) in width with its axis of bending parallel to the direction of rolling and shall withstand wi
24、thout cracking when bending at room temperature through an angle of 180 degrees around a diameter equal to the bend factor shown in Table 3 times the nominal thickness of the product with axis of bend parallel to the direction of rolling. 27、3 or finer. 3.5 Quality The product, as received by purchaser, shall be uniform in quality and condition, sound, and free from foreign materials and from imperfections detrimental to usage of the product. 3.6 Tolerances Shall conform to all applicable requirements of AMS2262. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The producer of the product shall supply all samples fo
29、r producers tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements. 4.2 Classification of Tests All technical requirements
30、are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each heat or lot as applicable. 4.3 Sampling and Testing In accordance with AMS2371. 4.4 Reports The producer of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report showing the producers name and country where the metal was melted (e.g., final melt in
31、 the case of metal processed by multiple melting operations) and the results of tests for composition (see 3.1.1) of each heat and for tensile properties, bending properties, and average grain size requirements of each lot, and stating that the product conforms to the other technical requirements. 32、his report shall include the purchase order number, heat and lot numbers, AMS5599H, size, product form and quantity. 4.4.1 When the product size is outside the range covered by 1.1, the report shall contain a statement to that effect. 4.5 Resampling and Retesting In accordance with AMS2371. 5. PREPA
33、RATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Identification In accordance with AMS2807. 5.2 Packaging The product shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with commercial practice and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the product to ensur
34、e carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 6. ACKNOWLEDGMENT A producer shall mention this specification number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders. 7. REJECTIONS Product not conforming to this specification, or to modifications authorized by purchaser, will
