12、QUIREMENTS3.1 CompositionShall be an alloy containing approximately 50% nickel and 50% iron with other alloying elements in such proportions as required to provide a product meeting the requirements of 3.3.3.2 ConditionHot rolled with subsequent cold reduction, annealed, and descaled having a surfac

13、e appearance comparable to the following commercial corrosion-resistant steel finishes as applicable (See 8.2).3.2.1 SheetNo. 2D finish.3.2.2 StripNo. 1 strip finish.3.3 PropertiesThe product shall conform to the following requirements:3.3.1 HardnessShall be not higher than shown in Table 1, or equi

18、d from imperfections detrimental to usage of the product.3.5 TolerancesShall conform to all applicable requirements of AMS2242.4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS4.1 Responsibility for InspectionThe producer of the product shall supply all samples for producers tests and shall be responsible for the per

19、formance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements.4.2 Classification of TestsAll technical requirements are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each heat

20、 or lot as applicable.4.3 Sampling and TestingShall be in accordance with AMS2371 and the following:4.3.1 For magnetic property tests, one or more samples shall be selected at random from each lot.4.4 ReportsThe producer of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report showing the producer i

21、dentity, the results of tests for hardness and magnetic properties of each lot, and stating that the product conforms to the other technical requirements.This report shall include the purchase order number, heat and lot numbers, AMS7717E, cooling rate if other than 100 F (56 C) degrees per hour, met

22、hod of testing and specimen thickness used for magnetic properties, size, and quantity.4.5 Resampling and RetestingShall be in accordance with AMS2371.SAE INTERNATIONAL AMS7717E Page 4 of 45. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY5.1 IdentificationShall be in accordance with AMS2807.5.2 Protective TreatmentProduc

23、t shall be protected from corrosion prior to shipment.5.3 PackagingThe product shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with commercial practice and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the product to ensure carrier acce

24、ptance and safe delivery.6. ACKNOWLEDGMENTA producer shall mention this specification number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders.7. REJECTIONSProduct not conforming to this specification, or to modifications authorized by purchaser, will be subject to rej

25、ection.8. Vacuum or other protective atmospheres may produce magnetic properties that are not equivalent to those produced in dry hydrogen.8.5 Terms
