QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS4.1 Responsibility for InspectionThe vendor of the product shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible f
26、or the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements.4.2 Classification of Tests4.2.1 Acceptance TestsComposition (3.1), room temperature tensile properties (3.4.1.1),
27、 hardness (3.4.2), bending (3.4.3), microstructure (3.4.4), and tolerances (3.6) are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each heat or lot as applicable.4.2.2 Periodic TestsElevated temperature tensile properties (3.4.1.2) are periodic tests and shall be performed at a frequency selected by th
28、e vendor unless frequency of testing is specified by purchaser.4.3 Sampling and TestingShall be in accordance with the following; a lot shall be all product of the same nominal thickness from the same heat processed at the same time:4.3.1 CompositionOne sample from each heat, except that for carbon,
29、 oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen determinations one sample from eachlot.4.3.2 Tensile Properties, Hardness, Bending, and Microstructure RequirementsOne sample from each lot.4.3.2.1 Specimens for tensile tests of widths 9 inches (229 mm) and over shall be taken with the axis perpendicular to the direc
30、tion of rolling; for widths under 9 inches (229 mm), specimens shall be taken with the axis parallel to the direction of rolling.SAE INTERNATIONAL AMS7851D Page 4 of 5_4.4 ReportsThe vendor of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report showing the results of tests for chemical composition
31、 of each heat and for the carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen content, tensile properties, hardness, and bending requirements of each lot, and stating that the product conforms to the other technical requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, heat and lot numbers, AMS7851D
32、, product form, size, and quantity.4.5 Resampling and RetestingIf any specimen used in the above tests fails to meet the specified requirements, disposition of the product may be based on the results of testing two additional specimens for each original nonconforming specimen. Failure of any retest
33、specimen to meet the specified requirements shall be cause for rejection of the product represented. Results of all tests shall be reported.5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY5.1 IdentificationShall be in accordance with AMS2809, except foil shall be identified as specified by purchaser.5.2 PackagingThe pro
34、duct shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with commercial practice and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the product to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery.6. ACKNOWLEDGMENTA vendor shall include this spec
35、ification number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders.7.
