SCOPE1.1 FormThis specification covers a columbium (niobium) alloy in the form of bars, rods, and extrusion

6、s.1.2 ApplicationThis material has been used typically for parts requiring exposure at ultra-high temperatures, but usage is not limited to such applications. 19、urface ContaminationProduct shall be free from surface contamination; a difference in hardness of 50 or more points HK100, determined in accordance with ASTM E 384, between the center of the specimen and a point 0.0015 inch (0.038 mm) from any as-supplied surface shall be construed as evidence of su

20、rface contamination.3.4.4.3 RecrystallizationProduct shall exhibit not less than 95% recrystallization.3.5 QualityThe product, as received by purchaser, shall be uniform in quality and condition, sound, and free from foreign materials and from imperfections detrimental to usage of the product.SAE IN

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS4.1 Responsibility for InspectionThe vendor of the product shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible for the

29、 performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements.4.2 Classification of TestsAll technical requirements are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each

30、heat or lot as applicable.4.3 Sampling and TestingShall be not less than the following; a lot shall be all product of one size and configuration from a single heat of alloy processed at one time and presented for vendors inspection at one time:4.3.1 CompositionOne specimen from each heat.4.3.2 Tensi

31、le PropertiesTwo specimens from each lot. Specimens shall be taken with the axis parallel to the direction of rolling or extruding.4.3.3 HardnessTwo specimens from each lot. Hardness may be determined on the tensile specimens.4.3.4 Grain SizeOne specimen from each lot.4.3.5 MicrostructureTwo specime

32、ns from each lot.SAE INTERNATIONAL AMS7857C Page 5 of 7_4.4 ReportsThe vendor of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report showing the results of tests for the composition of each heat, and for the tensile properties and average grain size of each lot, and stating that the product confor

33、ms to the other technical requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, heat and lot numbers, AMS7857C, product form, size, and quantity.4.5 Resampling and RetestingIf any specimen used in the above tests fails to meet the specified requirements, disposition of the product may b

34、e based on the results of testing two additional specimens for each original nonconforming specimen. Failure of any retest specimen to meet the specified requirements shall be cause for rejection of the product represented and no additional testing shall be permitted. Results of all tests shall be r

35、eported.5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY5.1 IdentificationShall be in accordance with AMS2809.5.2 PackagingThe product shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with commercial practice and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of

36、 the product to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery.6. ACKNOWLEDGMENTA vendor shall include this specification number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders.7. REJECTIONSProduct not conforming to this specification, or to modifications authorized by

37、purchaser, will be subject to rejection.8.
