THE TOP SURFACE OF THE AFCB (IN LOCATION SPECIFIED IN DRAWING) SHALL PROVIDE A GROUNDING SURFACE WHICH MUST MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF DISSIMILAR METALS (MIL-STD-889) WHEN GROUNDED TO A BARE ALUMINUM

14、PANEL. b. THE GROUND SOCKET SHALL BE APPROPRIATELY SIZED TO ACCEPT A PIN CONTACT PER M39029/1-101 (20 GAGE). THE SOCKET SHALL MEET CONTACT RESISTANCE, CONTACT INSERTION AND REMOVAL FORCES, CONTACT RETENTION, CONTACT WALKOUT, CONTACT RESISTANCE TO PROBE DAMAGE, AND SALT SPRAY (CORROSION) PERFORMANCE

15、REQUIREMENTS OF AS81714. A PIN CONTACT PER M39029/1-101 (20 GAGE) AND WIRE ASSEMBLY SHALL BE INSTALLED IN THE SOCKET, AND THE DIELECTRIC WITHSTANDING VOLTAGE TEST OF AS5692 SHALL BE PERFORMED BETWEEN THE WIRE AND THE MUTUALLY INSULATED METAL PARTS OF THE DUT, AND THE RESULTS MUST MEET THE DIELECTRIC

16、 WITHSTANDING VOLTAGE REQUIREMENTS OF AS5692. 2. REVERSE INSTALLATION CRITERIA NUMBER 1, PER PARAGRAPH 4.7.26 OF AS5692, SHALL BE MET TO DEMONSTRATE FULL FUNCTIONALITY IN THE CASE OF REVERSE INSTALLATION. 3. AS A RESULT OF A THERMAL OR ARC FAULT TRIP THE WHITE INDICATOR SHALL BE DISPLAYED. 4. THERE

17、SHALL BE NO REQUIREMENTS FOR ARC FAULT FUNCTION COORDINATION. 5. IF AN AFCB INCLUDES SOFTWARE, THE MANUFACTURERS PART NUMBER MARKING SHALL IDENTIFY THE SOFTWARE PART NUMBER AND REVISION. 6. THE PART NUMBERS FOR CIRCUIT BREAKERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS SPECIFICATION SHALL CONFORM TO THE EXAMPLE BELOW

20、TION. 8. CIRCUIT BREAKERS SHALL BE SUBJECTED TO THE SEPARABLE LINK CHARACTERISTIC TEST CURRENTS OF TABLE 5. THE NORMAL TRIP MECHANISM SHALL BE HELD CLOSED TO PREVENT TRIPPING ELECTRICALLY WITHOUT APPLYING UNDUE STRESS ON THE CURRENT SENSING MECHANISM OR ALTERING THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS THERMAL DISSIPAT

21、ION CHARACTERISTICS. THE TECHNIQUE MAY BE VENDOR SPECIFIC. CIRCUIT BREAKERS SHALL BE MOUNTED ON 1/8 INCH THICK ALUMINUM PANELS AND TESTED USING THE CIRCUIT FROM FIGURE 2 AS FOLLOWS: 1. CLOSE CONTACTOR 1 AND SWITCH 2 WITH CIRCUIT BREAKER OPEN. 2. ADJUST CURRENT AND VOLTAGE TO TEST LEVELS WITH THE REG

22、ULATED POWER SUPPLY AND LOAD RESISTOR R1. 3. OPEN CIRCUIT BY OPENING CONTACTOR 1 AND SWITCH 2. DURING AND AFTER TESTING TO RANDOM VIBRATION PROFILE THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS SHALL MEET T

26、HE REQUIREMENTS OF AS5692 FOR VIBRATION PERFORMANCE. QUALIFICATION: QUALIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR U.S. GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT. THE QUALIFIED PRODUCT LIST (QPL) QUALIFICATION ACTIVITY FOR U.S. DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE PROCUREMENT PURPOSES IS THE NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND (CODE 4.4.5.3) 22229 ELMER ROAD,
