2、REQUIREMENTS FOR HOSE/TUBE ASSEMBLY1. SCOPE:This Aerospace Standard (AS) is to be used as a supplement to SAE AS71 12. In addition tothe requirements contained in AS71 12, the requirements contained herein shall apply tosuppliers seeking NADCAP Fluid System Components Accreditation for Hose Assembly
3、.Hose/tube assemblies may be qualified as being comprised of bulk qualified hose/tube andfittings. The purpose of this standard is to define requirements for audit qualification of thehose/tube assembly to an “assembly” procurement/performance specification. It addressesthe fabrication of two or mor

10、efined.Instrumentation shall be on a verifiable calibration schedule.Assembly procedures shall be available for all set-up and assembly fabrication.Assembly procedures shall be keyed to and dependent on specified model(s) of tooling, sizesand styles.There shall be provisions for intermediate steps d
11、eemed critical by manufacturer orprocurement specification in assembly/fabrication inspected as work in process.HOSE ASSEMBLIES:There shall be properly identified and referenced procedures/work instructions for installingfittings onto hoses.There shall be documents (e.g., assembly drawing) specifyin
12、g the:a. Type and size of hose1) Type and size of braid, etc.b. Final length of assemblyc. Type of fitting for each endd. 14、ncludes:a. Sequence of operations (routers)b. Toolingc. Lubricantsd. Cleaning (include compliance to EPA mandates - ODS)e. Inspection criteria4.5.1 Documentation specifying crimp or swage diameters for each fitting shall be available to theoperator.4.5.2 Crimp or swage diameter shall be verified for
15、 each set-up and checked.4.6 A ball test shall be performed for each assembly where required.4.7 The angle of rotation shall be checked for fittings with two elbow fittings.4.8 The final assembly length shall be checked.5. ASSEMBLY TESTING:5.1 Assemblies shall be proof-tested in accordance with the
16、applicable military specification,customer drawing, Aerospace Standard, purchase order, or any other document.5.1.15.1.2There shall be a properly identified and referenced procedure for pressure testing.The procedure shall specify equipment having the proper range to perform conformance, proof,and b

18、.5 Instrumentation shall be on a verifiable calibration schedule.51.6 The procedure shall establish requirements for the creation and retention of pressure testingrecords.5.2 Assemblies shall be tested after proof test in accordance with the applicable militaryspecification, customer drawing, Aerosp
19、ace Standard, purchase order, or any other document.5.3 Are there documented provisions and equipment to test assemblies with liquids other thanwater (e.g., skydrol, oil, etc.), if required.5.3.1 Alternate fluid media specified shall comply with customer requirements.5.4 Following the proof-testing
20、or the air after proof-test, documented procedures or workinstructions shall require:a. The segregation of assemblies that fail so as to prevent accidental shipmentb. The identification of hose assemblies that have passed5.5 Assemblies shall be checked to assure that nuts are turning freely.6. CLEAN
21、ING:6.1 Assemblies shall be cleaned in accordance with applicable cleaning standards.6.2 If cleaned in-house, the ends shall be sealed to keep dirt out and to protect the threads orconnections.6.3 If special cleaning was done, the ends shall be properly sealed with a warning that the sealshall not b
22、e broken until final installation by the end user.6.3.1 If special packaging is required, the procedure shall be documented.7. MARKING:7.1 Assemblies shall be marked in accordance with applicable documents.7.2 The hose/tube lot shall be traceable from data in the identification marking.-4-Copyright

24、ion to be flowed down shall be documented (i.e., drawing not, shop traveler/router,etc.).8.8.1FINAL INSPECTION:Assemblies shall be inspected for broken wires, improperly installed fittings, and proper I.D.band markings.8.29.9.19.210.10.110.2Assemblies shall be spot checked for correct length.SHIPPIN
25、G:Items shall be packaged to prevent damage and acceptance by a common carrier for shipping.Special shipping instructions shall be made available to the shipping department if needed.PREFORMING (PTFE Smooth Bore):Preformed assemblies shall be checked on check fixture.Preformed assemblies shall be pr
26、operly restrained so they will keep the preformedconfiguration.11. COMPLIANCE:11.1 Job Audits: Compliance to the requirements contained herein and customer requirements shallbe verified by auditing in-process or completed jobs. The number of jobs to be audited shall bedetermined by the NADCAP Fluid
27、System Components Task Group. A minimum of onecomplete job shall be reviewed for compliance to customer requirements and the requirementscontained herein. If multiple job audits are performed, selections of jobs should be based onrepresentative sampling of type of work, products, and customers.11.2
28、Product Verification: A minimum of one complete Product Verification shall be performed.
