6、the sequence in which the clauses to which they relate appear in SABS l200 HB. b) The clause number(s) given at the beginning or after the heading of a clause is/are, unless otherwise stated, the number(s) of the relevant clause(s) of SABS l200 HB. ESSENTIALPHOJECT SPECIFICATION CLAUSES Set out suit

7、able clauses in Portion 2 of the project specification to provide essential information as follows: a) (Subclauses 3.2-3.5) State the material to be used, the profile, the minimum thickness and, when relevant, the finish. b) (Subclause 5.5.3) State the length of the end laps required. C) (Subclause

8、6.2.2) Set out the tolerance requirements with regard to misalignment of side joints, end joints and finishings against openings, to ensure a finished structure that is aesthetically acceptable. ESSENTIAL DATA The availahility of certain essential data may affect the prices tendered. Except where su

9、ch data have been given in the schedule or in the tender drawings, set out suitable clauses covering items such as the following in Portion 2 of the project specification: a) (Subclause 3.8) Give details of the materials, sizes and shapes of rainwater goods. b) (Subclause 5.5.3) If required, state w

10、hich laps are to besealed. ADDITIONAL CLAUSES GENERAL. Where it is necessary to amplify or otherwise to vary the terms of SABS l200 HB to render them suitable for use in projects to be carried out in particular locations or under particular circumstances, include in the project specification clauses

11、 dealing with matters other than those covered by Clauses 1 and 2 above. (See also Subclause 1.3 of Section t!B of Part 3 of the code.) NORMAL PROJECTS NOTE: To meet requirements imposed by various norms of economic development, projects are classified as normal, prestige, subeconomic and labour-bas

12、ed projects (see Clause 4 of Section 0 of Part 3 of the code) . Basic Data (Subclauses 3.1-3.5). Ensure that the following basic data have been made available by way of drawings or project specification clauses: a) The type of sheet required and, in the case of profiled sheets, the profile (as speci

13、fied in the relevant SABS specification), whether curved or straight and, in the case of galvanized steel sheets, the class of coating; b) the dimensions; C) when relevant in the case of FC sheets, that the requirement for acid resistance is to apply: d) the load to be applied for each applicable te

14、st given in Clause 7 of SABS l200 HB and scheduled. In addition, in the case of curved profiled sheets state that dimensional requirements such as length of chord and radius of curvature shall be as agreed upon between the contractor and the engineer. Detail Sheets (Subclause 5.1.4). Where alternati

15、ve materials, fixings, etc., may be acceptahle. include in the tender document one or more detail sheets (laid out in the manner shown in Annexure 1) and insert a project specification clause such as the following (see also Subclause 1.3.2 of Section HB of Part 3 of the code) : PSHB 1.1 Detail sheet

16、s (Subclause 5.1.4). Where any detail given on a detail sheet does not comply with the applicable requirements of the project specification, the detail given on the said detail sheet (amended, if necessary, and approved by the Engineer) shall prevail. Fasteners and the Fixing of Metal. Cladding and

17、Sheeting (Subclauses 3.7, 5.5.2.1 and 5.5.3). When designing and specifying the cladding and sheeting, specify also the fasteners and the method of fixing as in the appropriate of the examples given in PSHB 1.2 and PSHB 1.3 below. (See also 3.2.4 below and Subclauses 1.3.3 and 2.2 of Section AB of P

18、art 3 of the code.) PSHB 1.2 Fixing of deep profile roof sheetinq (Subclauses 3.7, 5.5.2 and 5.5.3). All deep profile sheeting shall be fixed through the narrow flutes. The thickness of the sheeting shall be at least 0,80 mm . Holes for fasteners shall be drilled. Roof sheets shall be fixed with M6

19、galvanized hook or channel bolts that have a nominal cliameter at the shank of 5,2 mm and have rolled electro-galvanized threads of length 6 mm . Special galvanized diamond washers of nominal thickness 1,6 m, as shown on Drawing ., shall be used together with approved sealing washers as shown on Dra

20、wing Where channel bolts are used on roofs, the channel section of the bolts shall be factory bent to match the purlin. To prevent opening of the channel bolt under tension, the short leg shall be closed by the Contractor. Fasteners shall be fixed on the second and fourth narrow flutes. SRBS 0120 :

21、Part 2 Section BB-1985 Cladding and sheeting Case-hardened carbon steel self-tapping hexagon head screws, as shown on Drawing shall be used for fixing side laps. The holes for self-tapping screws shall be undersize. The sheeting shall be fixed under pressure and all laps shall be tight before the sh

22、eeting is.fixed. PSHB 1.3 Fixing of Sheeting. All sheeting shall be fixed in strict accordance with the approved manufacturers recommendations. Flashings to Protrusions. Where necessary insert a clause based on Subclause 1.3.5 of section HB of Part 3 of the code. Installation Tolerances. See Subclau

23、se 1.3.3.2 of Section HB of Part 3 of the code. Clauses Selected from Section E. In addition to dealing with 1.1, 2.1 and 3.2.1-3.2.5 alwve, include in the project specification suitable PSBB clauses covering any of the matters dealt with in Clause 3 of Section AH and considered to be appropriate to

24、 the contract. SUBECONOMIC AND LABOUR-BASED PROJECTS. Where SABS 1200 HB is not suitable for use in a !;ubeconomic or a labour-hased project, extract suitable clauses from SABS 1200 HB for use in a particular specification to deal with the specific requirements of such a project. PRESTIGE PROJECTS.

25、Include in the project specification requirements covering those port.ions of the work that require special workmanship, tolerances or testing.
