Where necessary (e.g. to avoid the expense of importation) the grading limits and other physical properties required may be varied by means of a suitable PS clause. Compaction (Subclause 5.4.4) Compaction measured as a percentage of solid density. T
15、he compaction of a graded crushed stone base is usually specified as a percentage of solid density. Where such a base is specified or the compaction is required to be specified in terms of a percentage OF solid density, insert a project specification clause such as the Following: PSMF 1. COMPACTION
16、PSMF 1.1 Compaction as a percentage OF solid deusity (Subclause 5.4.4.2). In lieu of compactlon to at least 98 % and 97 % of modified AASHPO maximum density for natural and stabilized materials respectively, the base shall he compacted to at least 88 X* and 86 X* of solid density for natural and sta

Not applicable. SUBECONOMIC PROJECTS. The requirements of SABS 1200 MF are suitable for those roads of subeconomic projects that are to be bitumen surfaced but may set standards that are too high for other roads covered by such projects.
