It contains provisions for thedemonstration of conformity of product

31、ble.5 Selection of cast aluminium and aluminium alloysThe cast aluminium and aluminium alloys which shall be used for the fabrication of articles for use in contact withfoodstuff are those which conform with the requirements in 4.1 or 4.2 as applicable.For every use of a standardised cast aluminium

32、or aluminium alloy for the fabrication of articles for use in contactwith foodstuff, the conformity with this European Standard shall be established by checking the maximum contentsspecified in EN 1706 against the requirements in 4.1 or 4.2 as applicable.NOTE It is strongly recommended to use standa

33、rdised aluminium or aluminium alloys.The selection of the aluminium or aluminium alloy for a given application shall be the responsibility of the endproduct manufacturer, depending on the intended final use.EN 601:2004 (E)76 Demonstration of conformity with the present standardThe manufacture of cas

34、tings used for the fabrication of articles for use designated to be in contact with foodstuffshall be carried out in the framework of a quality assurance system. Within this quality assurance system, themanufacturer shall maintain a procedure to control the requirements of the present standard (see

35、clause 4).Special attention shall be given to :the qualification of raw materials entering into the formulation of the products ; and totraceabillity of delivered products to the measurement of the chemical composition of the materials used(see clause 5).NOTE The qualification of raw materials can b

36、e based either on actual measurements done by the producer or oncertificates of conformity obtained from the supplier of said raw material.The manufacturer shall establish an inspection certificate 3.1 according to EN 10204:1991, which certifycompliance of the delivered products with the requirement

37、s of the present standard. Unless otherwise agreed uponbetween manufacturer and purchaser, this certificate can be issued at the discretion of the manufacturer either foreach delivered lot or shipment, or periodically for all products delivered under the present standard within a periodof time not exceeding twelve months.
