23、39-2-4 IEC3. Definitions- 9 -For the purpose of this standard the following definitions apply inaddition to those given in the general requirements.3. 1 Ultrasonic Doppler detectorA detector which generates an alarm condition in response to thefrequency shift of the reflection of ultrasonic radiatio

24、n from a movingperson.3.2 SensorThe transmitting and receiving elements of the detector.3.3 Ultrasonic radiationA sonic radiation with a frequency above 22 kHz.3.4 Reference targetA person weighing between 50 kg and 70 kg and between 165 cm and180 cm in height, wearing a cotton overall.3.5 Boundary

25、of detection coverageThe furthest radial distances in all directions at which a referencetarget moving towards the detector will generate an alarm condition.3.6 Detection rangesThe detection ranges for given di rections are the radial distancesfrom the detector to the boundary of detection coverage.

26、4. General considerationsThe detector shall consist of one or more sensors and a processor. Each sensor shall be contained in one housing which may also includethe processor. Where facilities are included to permit more than onesensor to be connected to the processor, the tests required underClause 6

27、 shall be carried out with one sensor only. The detectors may have means incorporated to vary the shape of theboundary of coverage. Where such means are incorporated the testsrequired under Clause 6 shall be carried out with the normalequipment and setting but additional tests shall be carried out to

28、prove the manufacturers claims for the effects of these means.SANS 60839-2-4:2010This s tandard may only be used and printed by approved subscription and freemailing clients of the SABS .839-2-4 lEe5. Requirements5. 1 Functional5.1.1 Frequency- 11 -The operating frequency of the detector shall be no

Any radiation below 20 kHz shall be not more than 40 dBAat 0,5 m from the detector.5. 1.2 Boundary of detection coverageThe boundary of detection coverage achieved for any detector atmaximum range setting shall be at least equal to but not more than 25%greater than that given in t

Movements of le

32、able of detecting intermittent movement ofthe reference target towards the detector with periods of movementwithin the detectable speed range of not less than 1 s and periods ofno movement not more than 5 s. An alarm condition shall occur withina distance of 5 m or 50% of the initial separation, whi

It. shall be electrically monitored so that if a dis connection or short ci

36、rcuit of any conductors prevents alarm informa tion or a tamper alarm being received by the processor, the processoritself shall generate an alarm condition within 10 s.5.2 EnvironmentalNo additional requirements .5.3 SafetyNo additional requi rements .5.4 ReliabilityNo additional requirements.5.5 I

Where a range of fixing heights is given the tests shall becarried out at the upper and lower limits. The tests shall be carried out within the standard environmentalconditions for testing given in IEC Publication 68-1 but with thehumidity m

The distancefrom the detector shall be measured when an alarm condition occurs. Itshall be

44、at least equal to but not more than 25% greater than thatgiven in the manufacturers specifications. The test shall be carriedout in at least seven uniformly spaced directions in both the horizontaland vertical planes. The vertical plane tests shall be carried out byturning the detector through 90 on

45、 the radiation axis.6.2.2 Response at constant speedThe reference target shall move towards the detector from directly infront of it at the boundary of detection coverage at a speed ofapproximately 1 m/s. An alarm condition shall not occur for a move ment of less than 0,2 m but shall occur within a

46、distance of 3 m or 30%of the radial separation, whichever is less. The test shall be carried out at speeds of approximately 0.3, 1 and3 mis, and the highest and lowest speed if the manufacturer specifiesa wider speed range.6.2.3 Restoration following an alarm conditionThe reference target shall move

47、towards the detector from directly infront of it at the boundary of detection coverage at a speed ofapproximately 1 m/s. The distance from the detector where the alarmcondition occurs shall be noted. The reference target shall then returnto the boundary of detection coverage.SANS 60839-2-4:2010This
