5、 audio record shall be in accordance with ANSVSMPTE 40. 3.4 Recording The film shall be a print from an original negative and shall contain a sinusoidal, variable-area record re- corded at 1 dB below 100% modulation. The variation in amplitude shall not be more than k 0.5 dB. 3.5 Flutter The weighte
6、d peak flutter of the audio record shall not exceed f 0.05% when measured in accordance with ANSI 54.3. 3.6 Azimuth The azimuth of the audio record shall be 90“ I 3 to the reference edge of the film. 4 Film stock The film stock, preferably polyester, shall be splice- free, of the low-shrinkage safet
7、y type in compliance with ANSVSMPTE 223M, and cut and perforated in accordance with long-pitch dimensions specified in ANSIEMPTE 139. 3.1 Frequency 5 Identification The audio record on the film shall reproduce at a frequency of 1 O kHz k 1 O0 Hz when the linear velocity of the film is 96 perforation
8、s per second, which is approximately 90 ft (27 m) per minute (1 8 in 45.7 cm per second). 3.2 Distortion The total harmonic distortion of the recorded signals shall not exceed 1 Yo. This marking shall be printed length- wise in the central portion of the film and the spacing between consecutive titles shall be approximately 12 in (30 cm).
