10、duce the error rate exhibited by CDMA traffic9channels. There is no direct relationship between higher layer packets and the underlying10traffic channel frames; a large packet may span multiple traffic channel frames, or a single11traffic channel frame may contain all or part of several small higher

11、 layer packets.12Section 2 is a general description of RLP that defines its use by any service option for which13it is suited. Section 3 defines the RLP procedures for encrypted or non-encrypted14applications. Section 4 defines the RLP frame formats.151.2 Terms and Numeric Variables16Base Station (B

A fixed station used for communicating with mobile stations.17Depending upon the context the term Base Station may refer to a cell, a sector within a cell,18or other part of the wireless system.19Blank RLP Frame.
