TIA/EIA INTERIM STANDARDS TIA/EIA Interim Standards contain information deemed to be of technical value to the industry, and are published at the request of the originating Committee without necessarily following the rigorous public review and resolution of comments which is a procedural par

6、t of the development of a TIAEIA Standard. TIA/EIA Interim Standards should be reviewed on an annual basis by the formulating Committee and a decision made on whether to proceed to develop a TIA/EIA Standard on this subject. TIAEIA Interim Standards must be cancelled by the Committee and removed fro

7、m the TiA/EIA Standards Catalog before the end of their third year of existence. Publication of this TIA/EIA Interim Standard for trial use and comment has been approved by the Telecommunications Industry Association. Distribution of this TIA/EIA Interim-Standard for comment shall not continue beyon

8、d 36 months from the date of publication. It is expected that following this 36 month period, this TIA/EIA Interim Standard, revised as necessary, will be submitted to the American National Standards Institute for approval as an American National Standard. Suggestions for revision should be directed

9、 to: Standards Connector Mechanical Specifications, and Connector Electrical Specifications. The connector described in this document is intended to make the connection between the vehicle system and the mobile phone system, as described in ref. /Il. 2.1 Description of connector systems The two subs

10、ystems are described in the following sections. Additional system information is available. See I11 for more detail. 2.1.1 Vehicle Systems (AAS) 0 The vehicle sub-system (AAS, Automobile Adaptation System) contains the AAS half of the standard connector mounted on or in the vehicle interior and is a

11、vailable to the occupant for connection to the portable phone. The functions provided by the AAS are described in ref. Ill. 2.1.2 Phone Systems (PAS) 0 The phone subsystem (PAS, Phone Adaptation System) is provided by the portable phone manufacturer (phone adapter module) and contains the PAS half o

12、f the standard connector. The functions provided by the PAS are described in ref. Ill. 1 TIA/EZA/IS-7 88 3. Mechanical Requirements The connector described in this document is one designed specifically for this application. Design requirements from the telecommunications industry and automotive indu

13、stry were taken into consideration in development. 3.1 Connector Overview The connector shall meet the following requirements: 0 0 0 0 0 0 The basic connector is illustrated in Figure 1. Be made to meet the intent of the USCAR, class 1 specifications. See /2/ for more information. Provide cavities f

14、or 12 mated pairs of contacts of the 0.64mm sq. (0.025in sq.) blade and box style. Contact positions 1 through 8 shall be loaded. The use of contact positions 9 through 12 is described in ref. /V. Provide a cavity position for a mated pair of size 8 coaxial pin and socket contacts. See /1/ and /3/ f

15、or more information. Provide for positive latching of connector to prevent accidental disengagement. Maintain mechanical and electrical performance specified in this document for a minimum of 1000 mating cycles. For mating cycles greater than 1000, an optional and replaceable wear adapter may be use

17、all conform to the mating dimensions shown in Figure 2. 3.3 PAS Dimensions The PAS connector will be contained on the phone side. The PAS connector shall conform to the mating dimensions show in Figure 3. 3.4 Mated Connector Sectional Dimensions The sectional dimensions for the mated PAS and AAS con

18、nectors are contained in Figure 4. 3.5 Circuit Identification Numbering The AAS connector shall contain circuit identification numbering. Numbering may be included on the mating face of the connector or the back surface or both. Circuit identification numbering is illustrated for the AAS connector r
