17、This document defines the minimum performance requirements for the 136HS/EGPRS-3136 200 kHz (outdoor) and 1.6 MHz (indoor) digital mobile station (MS) and base station4(BS) transceivers, operating in the 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 1900 MHz and IMT-2000 band5(defined in 136-110).67The 200 kHz channel radio re
18、quirements are defined in GSM Release-99 specifications8which form (by way of reference) an integral part of this document. These (GSM)9specifications were developed by ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards10Institute) with the assistance of UWCC (Universal Wireless Communications11Consortium)

It15also defines requirements specific to so-called Mixed Mode systems, designated MXM-16850 and MXM-1900 in GSM 05.05. Th
20、e term Mixed-Mode refers to radio systems17operating in a mixed RF environment consisting of ANSI-136 30 kHz transceivers and18200 kHz EDGE/GSM transceivers. Mixed-Mode systems are also subject to compliance19with the applicable FCC rules.2021The term EGPRS-136 used in this document, and in other pa

22、he radio part of 13630HS/EGPRS-136 systems. The requirements are defined for two categories of parameters:3132- Those that are required to provide compatibility between the radio channels,33connected either to separate or common antennas, which are used in the system.34This category also includes pa
23、rameters providing compatibility with existing35systems in the same or adjacent frequency bands.36- Those that define the transmission quality of the system.37This document defines RF characteristics for Mobile Stations (MS) and Base Station38System (BSS). The BSS contains either Base Transceiver St

These MSs, defin

Multiband MSs shall meet all requirements for each of32the bands supported.3334Operators may implement networks that operate on a combination of the frequency bands35above to support multiband mobile terminals.3637383. Reference Configuration39
39、40The reference configuration for 136HS is described in TIA/EIA-136-330.41The micro-BTS is different from a normal BTS in two ways:42- The range requirements are much reduced whilst the close proximity requirements43are more stringent.44TIA/EIA-136-290-A4- The micro-BTS is required to be of small si
40、ze and of low complexity to allow1outdoor deployment in large numbers. Because of these differences, the2micro-BTS needs a different set of RF parameters to be specified. Where the RF3parameters are not different for the micro-BTS the normal BTS parameters shall4apply.56The pico-BTS is an extension
41、of the micro-BTS concept to the indoor environments. The7very low delay spread, low speed and small cell sizes give rise to a need for a different8set of RF parameters to be specified.910114. 200 kHz Channel Radio System12134.1 200 kHz Channel Transmitter Characteristics1415The relevant requirements
