、ations Systems Bulletin was developed to provide generic guidelines for a standardized method of identifying products compliant with TIA user premises equipment standards. The initial version also included specific details for a logo to identify TIA-1083 compliant products. The current revision intr
、oduces alternative generic guidelines for accommodating an extra line of text associated with the logos graphic symbol. It also provides specific logos for TIA-4953 compliant products. In 2004, telephone manufacturers began to receive customer complaints regarding hearing aid interference problems w
、ith digital cordless telephones. In response to these complaints, TIA developed TIA-1083 (Handset Magnetic Measurement Procedures and Performance Requirements), which was published in March, 2007. The document was subsequently revised to include requirements for digital interface telephones and TIA-
、1083-A was published in November 2010. Customers were assisted by having a uniform means to readily identify TIA-1083 compliant products. The amplified telephone industry has for several years encountered confusion and complaints regarding amplified telephone products advertised claims for “gain” an

In response to these issues, TIA developed TIA-4953 (Amplified Telephone Measurement Procedures and Performance Requirements), which was published in August 2012. The document includes requirements for the acoustic performance of a telephone to meet the needs
、 of people with hearing loss. Customers will be assisted by having a uniform means to readily identify TIA-4953 compliant products suitable for their hearing loss category. It is expected that additional logos for other TIA standards will be added in future revisions. TSB-177-A 1 Telecommunications
