This document has been submitted to APCO/NASTD/FED by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), as provided for in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) dated December 1993. That MOU provides that the APCO/NASTD/FE

19、D will devise a Common System Standard for digital public safety communications (the Standard), and that TIA shall provide technical assistance in the development of documentation for the Standard. This addendum document has been developed with inputs from the APIC Encryption Task Group and the TIA

20、Industry members. This addendum document is being published to incorporate subscriber Link Layer Authentication technical information on the emerging digital security techniques for Land Mobile Radio Service. This document describes the control channel messages and formats for trunked systems utiliz

21、ing the Common Air Interface meeting the Project 25 requirements. These definitions are necessary to insure interoperability of radio units. 38、ddendum 1 TIA-102.AABC-B-1 1 Addendum Introduction The purpose of this addendum is to update information contained in TIA-102.AABC-B, January 2005, v4.2 “Trunking Control Channel Messages“ based on the Project 25 Link Layer Authentication feature. This addendum defines the control channel messages r

39、equired to support the Project 25 Authentication and Mutual Authentication security feature of a Project 25 digital trunked radio system. This addendum shall provide additional information integral to the authentication message formats for trunked operation only. Addendum Scope This addendum to TIA-
