This document has been submitted to APCO/NASTD/FED by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), as provided for in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) dated December 1993. That MOU provides that the APCO/N

26、ASTD/FED will devise a Common System Standard for digital public safety communications (the Standard), and that TIA shall provide technical assistance in the development of documentation for the Standard. This addendum document has been developed with inputs from the APIC Encryption Task Group and t

27、he TIA Industry members. This addendum document is being published to incorporate subscriber Authentication technical information on the emerging digital security techniques for Land Mobile Radio Service. This document describes the Link layer messages and formats for trunked systems utilizing the C

28、ommon Air Interface meeting the Project 25 requirements. These definitions are necessary to insure interoperability of radio units. 38、 Addendum Scope This addendum identifies the changes associated with the Project 25 Link control word formats and messages as they pertain to the authentication service on a Project 25 Trunking System. This addendum does not explicitly address any authentication procedures required in support of no

39、n-trunking (e.g., conventional) modes of operation. Link Layer Authentication is no longer supported in the Project 25 link control protocol and therefore this addendum reflects the removal of the authentication service from the TSB-102.AABF document. Changes to TSB102-AABF for this feature are desc
