This Specification, in conjunction with Generic Specification TINEIA-4920000-B and Sectional Specification TINEI

18、A-492AOOO-A, follow the specification structure of the National Electronic Components Quality Assessment System (NECQ). I Scope This Detail Specification applies to class la, graded-index, 5011 25pm multimode optical fiber used as a component in the manufacture of fiber-optic cable used in buildings

Applications include, but are not restricted to, the following: telephony, distribution and local networks, carrying data, voice and/or video services and on-premises intrabuilding and interbuilding fiber installations, including LANs, PBXs, video, various multiplexing uses, outside telephone cabl

23、This Standard takes the entire contents of clause 4 of the Sectional Specification into account. The tables of this document include the minimum list of attributes specified in clause 4 of the Sectional Specification. 3.2 Marking Marking shall conform to the provisions of 3.3 of the Sectional Specif

27、hall conform to the principles given in 3.9.4 of the Generic Specification. 3.4.5 Health and safety Health and safety considerations shall conform to the principles given in 3.9.5 of the Generic Specification. 3.5 Ordering information Orders for fibers covered by this Specification shall contain, in

30、 requirements There are no additional requirements. 4 Inspection requirements . . 4.1 Qualification approval For qualification approval, the process shall be in accordance with 5.2 of the Sectional Specification, which in turn references 4.3 of the Generic Specification. The minimum sample size I is

31、 the same as that specified for periodic requalification in the tables that follow. 4.2 Quality Conformance Inspection (QCI) Quality Conformance Inspection shall be in accordance with 5.3 of the Sectional Specification. Note that periodic requalification is a standard component of the QCI program. 5

32、 Quality assessment tables Tables 1 through 4 cover both qualification approval and QCI requirements, and represent the required list of attributes, as given in 3.1 of this document. NOTE 1 - Column I cross references the subclause in the Sectional Specification that gives more detail on preferred v

34、 one test procedure for a given parameter. Many test procedures give interchangeable results, based on interla boratory comparisons. Whenever a non-TINEIA test or a TINEIA surrogate test is called out, there is a reference to Annex D, which gives further details. -. NOTE 3 - In column 4 certain perf

35、ormance requirements need more detailed discussion than a table can accommodate. For example, multiple values may be allowed, and specified alternatives are recommended. See Annex B. Four annexes support the tables: - Annex A explains the QCI codes and levels. - Annex B covers performance requiremen

36、ts for certain attributes, the details of which cannot readily be accommodated in a table. This (normative) annex covers multicellular part numbers, as explained in 3.6.3 of the Generic Specification: attributes for which there are multiple limits or multiple nominal values. - Annex C shows a diagra

40、d detect only the lowest order modes; therefore single-mode launch and receive optics are desired. When measuring phase-shift, it is essential to prevent ambiguities of 360n degrees, where n is an integer. This can be accomplished by selecting a modulation frequency sufficiently low enough to limit

This may be accomplished by connecting the test-set launch and receive optics back-to-back and recording the phase for each measurement frequency. Connect the test fiber to the measurement apparatus and record the phase for each measureme

43、nt frequency. The group-delay at each measurement frequency for the calibration and test sample measurement may be determined from the measured phase-shift by: t = $/(360 x 9 where t = group-delay, 4 = measured phase, and f = modulation frequency. The fiber length in meters may be determined by: L =
