2、t through eliminating misunderstandings between manufacturers and purchasers, facilitating interchangeability and improvement of products, and assisting the purchaser in selecting and obtaining with minimum delay the proper product for their particular need. The existence of such Publications shall

3、not in any respect preclude any member or non-member of TIA from manufacturing or selling products not conforming to such Publications. Neither shall the existence of such Documents preclude their voluntary use by non-TIA members, either domestically or internationally. TIA DOCUMENTS TIA Documents c

Suggestions for revision should be directed to: Standards consequently, when the procedures covered by this document and its addenda are used for acceptance testing of a particular system, the results shall be evaluated with the

7、 understanding that all system components might not be at the standard conditions at which they were originally tested and accepted. When a system is being tested as a representative of other systems not yet built, environmental conditions shall, however, be as close to the standard ambient conditio

8、ns listed in Section 6 as is practicable. Neither this document, nor its addenda, provide procedures designed for testing fiber optic components intended for, or forming a part of, optical communications and data transmission systems. For test procedures for fiber optic components, refer to the TIA/

9、EIA-455 series of documents. 0 The test procedures included in the addenda to this document are designed to satisfy the broadest possible industry requirements; in general, special test methods are not included. In order to adequately cover these broad industry needs, many of the addenda require tha

10、t some “option designator,“ some test parameter definition, andor some pasdfail criteria shall also be specified whenever the addendum is called out. Only in special cases (such as specified DoD requirements) are special test details listed in the addendum in addition to the general requirements. Sp

11、ecific test requirements (including DoD requirements) can, of course, be modified by direction of the Detail Specification so that the particular test can accurately reflect the special test needs (more or less severe than standard) of the system or subsystem in question. In the event of conflict be

12、tween the provisions of these test procedures and those of the Detail Specification, the requirements of the Detail Specification shall govern. In the terminology of IEC Guide 102 and of EIA EP-11, this document, together with its addenda, is considered to be a Basic Spxificatioq. TIA/EIA-526 Page 2

Reference may be made to the EP-17 for standard

17、ized language and related information that may be helpful in the preparation of each OFSTP. Effective with the date of this publication, all new and revised OFSTPs shall be prepared using the standard eight section headings listed below. If a particular section is not appropriate for a particular OF

18、STP, the section shall nevertheless appear, with some appropriate language (e.g., Not Applicable, Not Required, etc.) entered following the section heading. OFSTP-(number) TITLE (From EIA Standards Proposal No. XXXX, formulated under the cognizance of TIA FO-2.X, Subcommittee on XXXX.) This OFSTP is

19、 part of the series of test procedures included within Recommended Standard TIA/EIA-526. 1, INTRODUCTION: Provide any introductory material deemed necessary to understand the test. Special terminology used in the document that cannot be found in standard terminology documents shali be defined in thi

20、s section. Optional subsections may appear under this general section heading along with SAFETY, which is mandatory. The order of the subsections if included are: 1.1 1.2 INTENT: State the purpose of the test and any inspections to be performed. SCOPE: State the test parameter application, range and

21、 accuracy requirements. 1.3 measurement. Clause 5.3.2 recognizes that it may be impracticable to carry out measurements under these conditions; in such cases, the te

23、st report should indicate the actual test conditions. A note also indicates that relative humidity may be disregarded when it has no influence on the results of the test. The comparable requirements of TIA/EA-526 are given in Section 6, and some significant differences can be seen, particularly in the standard temperature ranges. A.2 CCITT Comparison with known CCITI documents suggests that there are no cornparable requirements in CCiIT.
