The marking shall be in the format of S24-L1.RATIONALE FOR DECISION:UL 1598 is presently silent with regard to supplemental requirements for luminaires having LED lightsources. While it is generally understood that UL 8750 and CSA C22.2 No. 250.13 are used tosupple

16、ment the general requirements in UL 1598 for LED luminaires, this new Section 9A provides thenecessary references and also includes several additional requirements that are applicable to LEDluminaires.Additionally included as Section 9A.6 are supplemental requirements for LED luminaires having Class

17、 PLED drivers. These additional requirements are based on the current requirements in UL 1598 section 8.3and clause 8.5.2 (j), which address cord and conductor temperature ratings for Fluorescent luminaireshaving thermally protected ballast (Class P ballasts).Copyright 2016 Underwriters Laboratories
