4、duit shall not absorb any more than 3.9 milligrams mass ofwater per square centimeter (25.0 milligrams mass of water per square inch) of immersed surface duringimmersion in tap water for 168 h at a temperature of 70.0 1.0C (158.0 1.8F) for insulation having atemperature rating of 60C (140F), at 82.0

5、 1.0C (179.6 1.8F) for insulation having a temperaturerating of 75C (167F) and at 94.0 1.0C (201.2 1.8F) for insulation having a temperature rating of90C (194F).A PVC or other material known to be non-hygroscopic and intended to have a LFNC conduit temperaturerating of 60C (140F) need not be subject

6、ed to this test.5.10.4 The water bath shall consist of a vitreous-enameled-steel or glass vessel containing tap water andshall be automatically controlled to maintain the water at 70.0 1.0C (158.0 1.8F) the specifiedtemperature. The vessel shall be provided with a close-fitting sheet-metal cover pla

7、te of brass or othernonferrous metal.6.1.3 The outside surface of conduit shall be marked with each of the following:a) Liquid-tight flexible nonmetallic conduit Type _ or LFNC-_ (use A, B,orC for thetype of LFNC conduit used). The means of reinforcement (fibrous or rigid) need not be markedb) The t

8、rade size and metric designator of the conduit, for example, 1/2 (16).c) The manufacturers name, trade name, or trademark or other descriptive marking thatidentifies the organization responsible for the conduit.d) 80C dry, 90C dry,or105C dry may be marked on conduit whose separate jacket orintegral

9、lining and jacket complies with the 113C (for the 80C rating), 121C (for the 90Crating), or 136C (for the 105C rating) oven aging requirements in Table 9. Conduit thatcomplies with one of these oven aging requirements but is not marked shall be acceptable foronly 60C dry use. Conduit may be marked 6

ThisCRD is intended to drive consistency between UL Standards UL 1660 and UL 1581, the Standard forElectrical Wires, Cables, and Flexible C

28、ords, which both contain water absorption tests. Both ULStandards have the same base wet temperature rating.
