5、ain a printed copy of the material contained in electronic format.RATIONALE FOR DECISION:UL specifies that any markings, installation and operating instructions shall be provided with the appliance.In the past, these instructions have typically been provided in hard copy printed format along withadd

6、itional manufacturers information, recipes, etc. that are not required by the Standard. For a variety ofreasons, manufacturers are looking at other means to provide this important information. Instructionsrequired by the Standard UL 197, must be readily available to the user. The addition of a New S

7、ectionoutlining the requirements regarding the use of electronic media has been developed for UL 197,identifying those instructions that must be provided as hard copy printed instructions, and those requiredon printed instructions indicating how to obtain a copy of the material contained in the elec

8、tronic mediavia mail, phone and /or company website.
