43、 for installation with NO x emissions reduction equipment. 1.2 These requirements apply to factory-built equipment having inputs of more than 400,000 Btu per hour (117 KW) (ring gas), and/or more than 3.0 gph (11.4 L/h) (ring oil), per individual combustion chamber and/or oil or combination gas-oil

44、burning equipment which require ame failure and other safeguards and which are intended primarily for commercial and industrial installation. 1.3 Equipment covered by these requirements may be operated without a competent attendant being constantly on duty at the burners while the burners are in ope

45、ration. 1.4 The heating appliance shall be suitable for installation in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association Standards for the Installation of Oil-Burning Equipment (National Fire Codes, Vol. 1), ANSI/NFPA 31, and/or National Fuel Gas Codes (IAS/A.G.A. Z223.1-1996), NFPA 54 and t

46、he National Electrical Code, NFPA 70. 2 Units of Measurement 2.1 If a value for measurement is followed by a value in other units in parentheses, the second value may be only approximate. 47、d in this standard are rms. 3 Components 3.1 Except as indicated in 3.2, a component of a product covered by this standard shall comply with the requirements for that component. See Appendix A for a list of standards covering components generally used in the products covered by this standard. 3.2 A

48、component is not required to comply with a specic requirement that: a) Involves a feature or characteristic not required in the application of the component in the product covered by this standard, or b) Is superseded by a requirement in this standard. 3.3 A component shall be used in accordance wit

49、h its rating established for the intended conditions of use. 3.4 Specic components are incomplete in construction features or restricted in performance capabilities. Such components are intended for use only under limited conditions, such as certain temperatures not exceeding specied limits, and shall be used only under those specic conditions.
