16、8.1 An interior latch release device shall permit the door to open with a force of 66.7 N (15 poundsforce) or less applied at the rate of 13.3 17.8 N/s (3-4 pounds force per second). This test shall beconducted before and after the conditioning specified in Clauses 8.28.4 and 8.28.5. This test shall

17、 also beconducted on drawers which are accessible without opening a door or lid on the refrigerator.Exception: This requirement does not apply to units or drawers in which the storage space has a minordimension of less than 203.2 mm (8 inches) or a volume of less than 0.06 m3(2 cubic feet).10.1.1 Ea

20、e included in either the operating instructions or in ause and care manual provided with each refrigerator with a food storage compartment larger than 0.06m3(2 cubic feet).RATIONALE FOR DECISION:Presently, UL 250 references a “nominal” insulation thickness for appliance wiring material. As thisthick

21、ness is not usually referenced on the AWM Style Page, the referenced thickness is being changed to“minimum” thickness, and appropriate values are being revised. In addition, UL has been testing drawersfor strength and entrapment requirements, so the term “drawer(s)” needs to be added to the appropri

22、atesections of the standard.
