It is the second edition of CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60745-2-6 and the second edition of UL 745-2-6. This

27、standard is based on edition 2 of IEC 60745-2-6. The rst edition of this standard was designated CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 745-2-6/UL 745-2-6. This Standard CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 745-2-6/UL 745-2-6, second edition, supersedes: a) the rst edition CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 745-2-6/UL 745-2-6 published in 1995; and b) CAN

28、/CSA-C22.2 No. 745-4-6/UL 745-4-6, (requirements for battery tools and battery packs are now incorporated into the requirements of CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60745-2-6, second edition, and UL 60745-2-6, second edition). The standard number has been aligned to correspond with the equivalent IEC 60745-2-6 stan

33、evel of harmonization This standard adopts the IEC text with national differences. This standard is published as an equivalent standard for CSA and UL. An equivalent standard is a standard that is substantially the same in technical content, except as follows: Technical national differences are allo

34、wed for codes and governmental regulations as well as those recognized as being in accordance with NAFTA Article 905, for example because of fundamental climatic, geographical, technological, or infrastructural factors, scientic justication, or the level of protection that the country considers appr

36、t organization of an identical or equivalent standard is based on the literal text to determine compliance with the standard in accordance with the procedural rules of the standards development organization. If more than one literal interpretation has been identied, a revision is to be proposed as s

37、oon as possible to each of the standards development organizations to more accurately reect the intent. CSA effective date The effective date for CSA International will be announced through CSA Informs or a CSA certication notice. UL effective date The effective date for UL 60745-2-6, second edition

38、, is October 31, 2012. Between the present and October 31, 2012, new product submittals to UL must be evaluated under all requirements in this Standard or, if requested in writing, evaluated under presently effective requirements only. The presently effective requirements are contained in the rst ed

39、ition of UL 745-2-6. As of October 31, 2012, all products Listed or Recognized by UL shall comply with the requirements in this standard. A UL effective date is one established by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. and is not part of the ANSI approved standard. GENERAL The previous version of CAN CSA C2

40、2.2 No. 60745-2-6-04/UL 60745-2-6 included a national difference to IEC Clause 8.12.1. The national difference was deleted in this version of CAN CSA C22.2 No. 60745-2-6-04/UL 60745-2-6.
