41、om the factory.RATIONALE FOR DECISION:The UL Standard for Schedule 40, 80, Type EB and Type A Rigid PVC Conduit and Fittings, UL 651,currently does not include requirements for expansion-deflection joints or deflection joints in the standard. This proposal serves to provide the requirements to evalua
42、te the joint for the degree of movementspecified by the manufacturer, and provided in the installation instructions with the fitting. Theserequirements provide an alternative approach to testing for deflection where conditions for the expansionjoint has a declared defection range that is considered
43、to be represented by the reciprocations testsequence. These requirements are significantly correlated with requirements for expansion-deflection anddeflection fittings for metallic conduit already found in UL 514B, the Standard for Safety for Conduit, Cableand Cable Fittings.Copyright 2014 Underwrit
