The jacket shall pro
4、vide the cable with resistance toabrasion and the required flexibility. If it is applicable for the use, a jacket of a material other than PVC isacceptable on Type NM cable insulated with PVC or other thermoplastic material. A connector pull-out testis to be part of the evaluation of a cable jackete
5、d with a material other than PVC. The test (a pull of 60lbf or 267 N or 27.2 kgf applied for 5 minutes, with no more than 1/8 inch or 3 mm movement of the cablein the connector) is to be conducted as outlined under the heading Connectors for Nonmetallic-SheathedCable in the Standard for Conduit, Tub

16、 12 AWG copper or 12 or 10 AWGaluminum insulated circuit conductors shall not wear through exposing the underlying protective sheath orconductor assembly in fewer than 70 complete cycles of abrasion against sharp steel edges. The test isto be conducted as described in 7.14.5.15.2 A composite jacket
