4、bserved as a reproducible change in direction (relativeincrease in signal magnitude) of the absorbance (or %T) signal that reaches a maximum value inabsorbance (or %T) relative to a local baseline and then changes direction (relative decrease in signalmagnitude) to return to the underlying local bas

5、eline. This description includes distinct bands, and“shoulders” that do not return to a level baseline (slope = 0) due to obscuration by larger intensity bands.(New) A3.2.1 Total band intensity is measured as the corrected height (%T) or difference between theband nadir and the point on the band bas

6、eline drawn between the local maxima on either side of the nadirthat draws a perpendicular to that nadir. Noise can be measured in the region between 2050 and 1950wavenumbers or any other spectral region where the transmittance is steady and bands are not observed.(New) A3.2.2 When the compositional

7、 cause of the band in question is known to be related to any additiveindicated in the “Test considerations based upon compound variations” table in the Polymer variationssection of this standard, the total intensity (%T) of non-conforming bands shall be at least three times thehighest level of basel

8、ine noise of the spectrum under evaluation.(New) A3.2.3 When the compositional cause of the band in question is not known to be related to anyadditive indicated in “Test considerations based upon compound variations” table in the “Polymervariations” section of this standard, the total corrected heig

9、ht (%T) of non-conforming bands shall be |0.30| %T.A4 Exception Consideration:(New) A4.2 Exception consideration shall be given to spectral discrepancies determined to satisfy therequirements indicated in the “Test considerations based upon compound variations” table in the “Polymervariations” secti

10、on of this standard. For example, if it is determined that the spectral discrepancy is due toa change in catalyst additive (e.g. N,N-ethylenethiourea), the change is considered acceptable withouttesting per program code “O” of the Polymer variations table. Similarly, if it is determined that the spe

Similarly, if it is determined that the curvediscrepancy was due to a change in level of inorganic pigment (e.g. titanium dioxide) or lubricant addi

Theendothermic response is measured as the total height (heat flow measured as a deflection from baseline).This is calculated as

17、 the distance in microwatts from the peak nadir drawn perpendicularly to the heat flowaxis from the nadir to the baseline extension between the local maxima on either side of the nadir.C5 Exception Consideration:(New) C5.3 Exception consideration shall be given to curve discrepancies determined to s

18、atisfy therequirements indicated in the “Test considerations based upon compound variations” table in the “Polymervariations” section of this standard.
