10、an opposing force).RATIONALE FOR DECISION:UL 982 presently contains requirements for switches, controls, and interlocks. Present requirementsprovide guidance for when an interlock is required and requirements to evaluate the suitability of theinterlock system.A magnetic interlock is one type of inte

11、rlock that may be employed in an appliance. Magnetic interlocksare actuated by proximity of a corresponding actuating magnet of specific strength or configuration.Common magnets are considered readily available materials in a kitchen with respect to 26.10.Requirements are being proposed to provide s

12、pecific guidance for judging the acceptably of magneticinterlocks with respect to defeating the interlock with common magnets.If electronic controls are relied upon to provide the magnetic interlock function, the protective controlrequirements are already specified. However, a Note is proposed to Ta
