11、Appendix B. IEEE 117-1974 (R 1991), Test Procedure for Evaluation of Systems of Insulating Materialsfor Random Wound AC Electric Machinery. Coilettes are to include a typical slot assembly fabricated fromtwo metal plates bolted together. The slot section of the motorette or coilette shall be fabrica

12、ted from steelsheets, such as AISI 1010 cold-rolled steel or other motor-steel sheets. The assembled slot portion shallcontain two coils approximately 15 to 20 turns each, insulated from ground by slot cells, insulated fromeach other by phase insulation if used in the motor application, and held in

13、place with slot wedges. Eachcoil shall be wound with two parallel wires so that turn-to-turn tests may be made. Film-coated magnetwire, No. 18 AWG (0.82 mm2), is to be used for coil construction. Minor modifications of the motorette orcoilette assemblies can be made to simulate intended uses.(NEW) 4

14、1.7.1 Form wound motorettes shall be prepared as described in Appendix C. 16、ectrical check, the test specimens shall withstand for1 minute a 60 Hz ac potential of 1000 volts plus twice rated voltage applied between coils, and betweencoils and dead metal parts; and shall withstand a 60 Hz potential of 500 volts applied for 1 minute betweenthe parallel wires to simulate the t

17、urn-to-turn condition.(REVISED) 41.14 For random wound motors, afterAfter the final temperature cycle, the test samples shallwithstand for a period of 1 minute each, a 60 Hz ac potential of 600 V applied betweena) windings; andb) windings and grounded metal;and a 60 Hz ac potential of 120 V for moto

18、rs rated 0 600 V and a potential equal to the maximum ratingof the motor for motors rated 601 7200 V applied between turn-to-turn insulation. The acceptance of theinsulation system is to be based on the performance of five of the six samples if six samples are tested.If two samples are tested, both

20、 60 Hz ac potential equal to:a) The maximum rating of the motor applied between coil windings as well as between coilwindings and dead metal parts; and,b) 500 volts applied between the turn-to-turn windings.(NEW) 41.14.2 In reference to 41.14.1, five of the six specimens shall comply with the test c

21、riteria if sixspecimens are tested, or all specimens shall comply with the test criteria if two specimens are tested.(REVISED) 41.18 Six twisted pairs of film-coated magnet wire made in accordance with Test Method forRelative Thermal Endurance of Film-Insulated Round Magnet Wire, ASTM D2307-94, or s

22、ix straightlengths of fibrous-covered or turn-taped square, rectangular, or round magnet wire, whichever isapplicable, are to be placed in sealed vessels and exposed to the refrigerant and oil mixtures andtemperature-time-pressure values as described in Clause 41.13. Other parts of the insulating sy

23、stem ofan amount approximately proportional to their use in the system shall also be included. If one or more ofthese parts are involved in the change, six samples of each new part of a size sufficient to conduct thetest specified in Table 41.2 are also to be included.(REVISED) 41.21 At the end of t

25、s-covered or turn-taped square, rectangular, or round magnet wire, samplesare to be prepared in accordance to the “Foil Electrode Method” in NEMA MW 1000. For other functionalparts involved in minor changes, such as leads, tubing, tapes, barriers, and tie cords, applicablecomparative dielectric stre

26、ngth or mechanical tests, as stated in Table 41.2, shall be conducted todetermine the effects of the refrigerant-oil exposure.(NEW)Appendix B Random Wound Motorette Construction(Informative)B.1 This annex suggests appropriate test specimens for evaluating insulating materials and systems usedon the

27、inside of motor-compressor housings if motorettes are used in accordance with 41.7. The type ofmotorette as defined in the following will adequately represent random-wound motors of 600 V rating orless.B.2 Figure B.1 shows typical components of the motorette before final assembly. Each of thesecompo

28、nents should be subjected to separate screening tests to establish uniformity and normality beforethey are assembled. For example, a number of representative samples of the wire, slot insulation, phaseinsulation and so forth, may be subjected to dielectric voltage-withstand or other tests. Everythin

30、ULB.3 The finished motorette shown in Figure B.2 is to consist of a rigid supporting metal frame with foursuitable stand-off porcelain insulators bolted to one end and with a slot portion, made from an inner andouter plate, bolted to the other end. The motorette frame has holes for mounting the fixt
