、TION1 Scope1.1 This Outline covers the requirements for single or multiple conductor cables intended for undergrounduse in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70. The wire is rated 30 V or 150 V acor dc and 60, 75, or 90C. These cables are intended to be connected to a Class 2 o
、r Class 3 powersource as defined by Tables 11(A) and 11(B) of the NEC.2 Components2.1 Except as indicated in 2.2, a component (including gaskets and polymeric materials) of a productcovered by this outline of investigation shall comply with the requirements for that component.2.2 A component is not
、required to comply with a specific requirement that:a) Involves a feature or characteristic not required in the application of the component in theproduct covered by this outline of investigation, orb) Is superseded by a requirement in this outline of investigation.2.3 A component shall be used in a
、ccordance with its rating established for the intended conditions ofuse.2.4 Specific components are incomplete in construction features or restricted in performance capabilities.Such components are intended for use only under limited conditions, such as certain temperatures notexceeding specified li
、mits, and shall be used only under those specific conditions.3 Units of Measurement3.1 In addition to being stated in the inch/pound units that are customary in the USA, each of therequirements in this outline is also stated in units that make the requirement conveniently usable incountries employin
、g the metric system (practical SI). Equivalent although not necessarily exactlyidentical results are to be expected from applying a requirement in USA or metric terms. Equipmentcalibrated in metric units is to be used when a requirement is applied in metric terms.SEPTEMBER 4, 2015UL 14934UL COPYRIGH
