9、ers are intended to be utilized in accordance with the SpecialPurpose Residential Fire Extinguisher guidance provided in the Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers,ANSI/NFPA 10.2 Units of Measurement2.1 The metric unit shall be designated as the official unit for purposes of this outline. Where va
10、lues ofmeasurement are specified in both SI and English units, either unit is used. In cases of dispute, the metricunit shall be used.3 Undated References3.1 Any undated reference to a code or standard appearing in the requirements of this standard shall beinterpreted as referring to the latest edit

13、ozzle anda minimum of 90 percent (by mass) of the rated capacity of dry chemical shall discharge at a minimumdistance of 0.75 m (2.5 ft) from the nozzle.5.2 An extinguisher charged with its rated capacity conditioned at 21 +/- 3C (70 +/- 5F) shall bepositioned in the vertical position with the disch
14、arge nozzle held in a horizontal position at a height of 1m (3 ft) from the floor or ground. The extinguisher is to be completely discharged and the dischargedistance at initial discharge and the mass of dry chemical discharged at a distance of 0.75 m (2.5 ft) andgreater shall be determined.6 Discha
15、rge duration test6.1 An extinguisher at 21 +/- 3C (70 +/- 5F) shall have a duration of discharge not less than 8 seconds,6.2 The test method shall be conducted as specified in UL 299.MARKING7 General7.1 An extinguisher complying with the requirements in this Outline shall be marked Residential Kitch
