20、Test, Section 9.5.3 Solderless connections5.3.1 Solderless connections shall comply with the following:a) The combination of wire and termination shall be compatible,b) The wire shall be stripped to the correct length specified by the manufacturer. The strippedpart of the conductor shall not be dama
21、ged and shall be clean and free from particles ofinsulation,c) The conductor shall be correctly located in the termination at the correct depth specified bythe manufacturer,d) For stranded wire, all strands of the wire shall be within the termination. 23、ave a minimum flame classification rating of V-1 accordingto UL 94 at the minimum thickness used.Exception: A polymeric material need not have a flame rating for the thinnest measured thickness whenthe molded connector/material combination complies with the 12 mm (0.47 inch) end-product flame testde
24、scribed in UL 746C.5.5 Cables5.5.1 Patch cable shall be constructed of four twisted pairs of stranded or solid conductors, optionalshield(s), and an overall jacket. Cables used for patch cords shall comply with the requirements describedin UL 444 and determined to be suitable for the application.5.5

A lighter shade of the solid coloredconductor is permitted to be used instead of white as long as it is clearly distinguishable from the solidcolored conductor. 30、 of the cable.PERFORMANCE6 Data Transmission Performance (Category) Testing6.1 General6.1.1 Patch cords shall comply with the applicable transmission performance requirements for cords andjumpers described in ANSI/TIA-568-C.2for the category submitted.6.1.2 Three as-received samples of the patch cor
31、d shall be subjected to the data transmissionperformance tests described in 6.1.3 6.1.5.6.1.3 Patch cords shall be tested bi-directionally at room temperature 20C3C and 505 percentrelative humidity. Patch cords may be tested coiled. If the patch cord does not comply in the coiledposition, the test s

33、aboratory grade and in compliance withANSI/TIA-568-C.2.6.1.5 When different lengths of a particular patch cord construction are being evaluated, the samplesshall include the shortest, longest, and mid-length cable assemblies.6.1.6 In addition, one sample shall be subjected the Strain-Relief Test, Se
34、ction 7, one sample subjectedto the Flexing Test, Section 8, and the third sample subjected to the Mechanical Operation Test, Section9. After being subjected to these tests, Data Transmission Performance (Category) Testing, Section 6described above shall be repeated and the patch cords shall comply
35、with 6.1.1.7 Strain-Relief Test7.1 After being subjected to the test described below, there shall be no evidence of movement of thecable relative to the connector that would place undue stress on the internal wiring connections.7.2 Each different combination of patch cable and connector type shall b
36、e subjected to the following tests.7.3 The plug is to be mounted with the cord hanging in a vertical position. A force of 50 N (11.25 lbf) isto be gradually applied to the cord. The direction of application of the force is to be varied from directlydownward to an angle of 45 degrees from the vertica
37、l in all directions. The force is to be applied for aperiod of 1 minute.7.4 When the strain-relief means utilizes a plastic part, the test shall be repeated on a new sample thathas been placed in an air-circulating oven aged for 7 hours at 70C (158F). The sample shall be allowedto cool to room tempe
38、rature prior to the application of the force.7.5 After the strain relief test on the as-received sample, the tests in Data Transmission Performance(Category) Testing, Section 6, shall be repeated and the patch cord shall comply with the applicablerequirements for the category.8 Flexing Test8.1 After
39、 being subjected to flexing described below, there shall be no damage or breakage of the cordat the point of flexing and there shall be no evidence of movement of the cable relative to the connectorthat puts stress on the internal wiring connections.8.2 Each different combination of patch cable and
40、connector type shall be subjected to the following tests.8.3 A patch cord shall be subjected to 500 cycles of flexing as described in paragraphs 8.4 or 8.5.8.4 The patch cord shall be tested in accordance with IEC 61935-2:2010, Section 7.3, Flexure. The rateof flexure shall be 20 per minute.8.5 A sa
41、mple of the cable assembly is to be secured to the flexing apparatus so that the cord assumesthe natural bend permitted by the assembly. Each connector is to be secured in the jaws of the flexingmachine so that the point of cord exit is at the center of rotation. The rotating jaws are to be adjusted
42、 torotate to an angle of 90 degrees to each side of the centered position. At the centered position, the cordis to hang vertically and a test weight of 4 oz. (113 g) is to be attached to the cord approximately 305 mm(12 inches) from the point of rotation as illustrated in Figure 8.1.This is generate

44、tact the guides in a manner that could increase the degree ofbend present at its entry to the fitting during the test.9 Mechanical Operation Test9.1 Modular plugs used on a patch cord shall be able to withstand 750 mating cycles (insertions andwithdrawals) without degradation of performance.9.2 The
45、plug shall be subjected to 750 mating cycles without electrical load. The minimum intervalbetween cycles shall be 1 second. Mating and unmating of the plug and jack constitutes one cycle andshall be at a rate not exceeding 10 mm/s (0.4 in/s). The mating jack shall be new and in compliance withANSI/T
46、IA-1096-A. Mechanical aids which simulate normal operation may be used provided that they donot introduce abnormal stresses.9.3 After the test, the tests in Data Transmission Performance (Category) Testing, Section 6 shall berepeated and the patch cord shall comply with the applicable requirements f

48、he application ofa 60 Hz essentially sinusoidal potential of 1000 V applied for 1 minute.10.2 One previously untested product is to be subjected to this test. The test potential shall be appliedbetween each of the contacts of the connector and between the contacts and any non-current-carryingmetal p
49、arts.10.3 The applied potential is to be increased from zero until the required test voltage is reached, and isto be held at that voltage for a period of 1 minute. The increase in the applied potential is to be at auniform rate and as rapid as is consistent with its value being correctly indicated by a voltmeter. The patchcord is to be tested by means of a 500 VA or larger capacity transformer whose output voltage isessentially sinusoidal and can be varied.11 Pull-Out Force Test Solderless Connections11.1 As a result of the test described below,
