6、 supply 100 watts of power (0.5 amperes per conductor at a nominal 50 V) over HDBaseT(PoH) protocol. 9、e shall comply with the applicable requirements described in UL 444 or UL 13.b) The cable shall comply with the data transmission performance requirements described inaccordance with the latest version of the ANSI/TIA-568 Standards as category 5e or higher.c) The cable shall be an HDBaseT Alliance R

11、Test4.1 General4.1.1 When tested as described in this section, the temperatures measured on the insulation and jacketof the cables, after being corrected to an ambient of 25C, shall not exceed the temperature rating of thecable.4.1.2 The temperature rise over ambient shall be determined in accordanc

12、e with the test proceduredescribed in 4.2. The temperatures measured are used as the basis for the Cable Elevated TemperaturePerformance Test, Section 5.4.1.3 A cable that complies with the Cable Heating Test at 0.5 amperes as described in UL 444 or UL 13need not be subjected to this cable heating t

13、est provided that the temperature rise data at 0.5 amperesper conductor is available for the Cable Elevated Temperature Performance Test, Section 5.4.2 Test procedure4.2.1 The cables shall be arranged in a tightly packed bundle consisting of 7, 61, or 192 cables. Theseven cable bundle shall be arran

14、ged in a hexagonal densest packing structure which represents theworst case thermal dissipation situation. For the 61 and 192 cable bundles, the inner 37 cables shall bearranged in a hexagonal densest packing structure which represents the worst case thermal dissipationsituation. The remaining cable

15、s shall be evenly distributed to form the rest of the cable bundle. The bundleshall be placed in a 1.83 m 5 cm (6 foot 2 inches) long commercially available non-metallic conduit(Schedule 40) with the minimum diameter needed to install the bundle without putting pressure on thecables. Each end of the

16、 conduit shall be filled with insulation.4.2.2 All of the conductors in the cables shall be electrically connected in series to a power supplycapable of providing 0.5 amperes. It is permitted to electrically divide the conductors into two or morecircuits, each with its own power supply, to obtain th

17、e required current. The cables are operatedcontinuously until thermal stabilization. Thermal stabilization is considered to exist when three successivereadings, taken at 15 minute intervals, are within 1C of each other and indicate no further rise above thechanges in ambient temperature.4.2.3 The te

18、mperatures shall be measured on the outer jacket and conductor insulation of the centercable at the midpoint of the cable. In addition, temperatures shall be measured on the jacket andconductor insulation on the center cable 0.6 m (2 feet) on each side of the center thermocouple forreference purpose

19、s.4.2.4 Temperatures are to be measured by means of thermocouples that are not larger than 0.21 mm2(24 AWG) and not smaller than 0.05 mm2(30 AWG). When thermocouples are used in determiningtemperatures, it is common practice to employ thermocouples consisting of 0.05 mm2iron and constantanwires with

20、 a suitable temperature indicating instrument. 21、struments are to be accurate and calibrated in accordance withstandard laboratory practice. The thermocouple wire is to conform to the requirements specified in theTolerances on Initial Values of EMF versus Temperature tables in ANSI/ASTM E230/E230M.4.2.6 A thermocouple junction and adjacent thermoc

22、ouple lead wire are to be securely held in goodthermal contact with the surface of the material whose temperature is being measured. In most cases,acceptable thermal contact results from securely taping or cementing the thermocouple in place.5 Cable Elevated Temperature Performance Test5.1 General5.

25、nsist of a transmitting Golden Unit (TX GU), Model VS2-EVK1-TX,manufactured by Valens and a Receiving Golden Unit (RX GU), Model VS2-EVK1-RX, manufactured byValens.5.2.2 The results shall be measured using a computer using the software developed to support HDBaseT2.0 CTS. It is acceptable to use HDB

27、d cable shall be cut to a length of 80 meters (262 feet) for CAT5e cable and 90meters (295 feet) for CAT6/6A/7/7A cables. Each end of the cable shall be terminated in an 8-pin modularjack with a minimum category performance designation of the category classification of the cable undertest. Either TI

28、A 568 A or TIA 568 B Straight Cable Wiring configurations shall be used and the assemblychecked with a network analyzer. See Figure 5.1.This is generated text for figtxt.5.3.2 The TX GU (Transmit Golden Unit) HDBaseT port shall be connected to the RX GU (ReceiveGolden Unit) HDBaseT port using the ca

29、ble under test and two 5 m (16 feet) patch cords.5.3.3 The test is performed by running the CTS software and selecting the test 7.1.1.1 HDBTRecommended Cable Test. The software runs through the following test-steps and automatically recordsthe data.a) The GU is set to Mode 500 and confirmed that the

30、 HDBaseT link is active.b) GU enables TokD16 protected BIST traffic on the TX port.c) GU monitors and outputs Main retransmission rate and Main and Aux MSE.d) Enable BIST traffic on the GU RX port, clear statistic and run the BIST for 5 minutes.e) GU retrieves Main and Aux BIST BER.Figure 5.1Test se

32、Section 4, corrected to an ambientof 25C. The corrected temperature is determined by adding 25C to the measured temperature rise overroom ambient at the time the measurement was taken. To compensate for the length subjected to heating,the temperature of the thermal chamber shall be set to the averag

33、e temperature based on the followingcalculation: 0.75(corrected temperature) + .25(25). The lengths shall be spaced such that each lengthdoes not come in contact with a corresponding length.5.3.5 The patch cords shall not be placed in the thermal chamber. The temperature of the cable undertest shall

34、 be allowed to stabilize at the elevated temperature and the steps described in 5.3.2 and 5.3.3shall be repeated. While still in the oven, the cables shall comply with the Active mode performanceparameters described in Table 5.1.MARKING6 Marking6.1 For cables that have not been evaluated for unrestricted bundle sizes, the smallest shipping cartonshall be marked with either 7-cable bundles or 61-cable bundles as applicable.6.2 The cable and the smallest shipping carton shall be marked with the category of the cable.JULY 10, 2018UL 42998
