、R FURTHER REPRODUCTION ORDISTRIBUTION WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM UL9.2 Crushing and joint load test9.2.1 The upper surface of the cap shall be subjected to a load of 100 pounds mass (91 kg).9.2.2 The load is to be applied in a downward direction tending to collapse and push the cap further intoor onto
、the flue liner. The load is to be applied for a minimum of 60 minutes.9.3 Wind load tests9.3.1 The largest projected-surface-area exposed to the wind is to be computed by measuring the areaof the outermost projected-solid-surfaces of the cap in either a horizontal or vertical plane. Note: this willu

、ion tending to pull the cap off of the liner. The load isto be sustained for 60 minutes.9.3.4 The load specified in 9.3.3 shall then be repeated in an upward direction 45 degrees from vertical.9.3.5 The loads specified in 9.3.3 and 9.3.4 are to be uniformly distributed over the largest solid surface
、area or, if agreeable to all parties involved, applied to the center of the largest solid surface area.10 Rain Test10.1 Refer to Section 30, Rain Test, of the Standard for Factory-Built Chimneys for Residential Type andBuilding Heating Appliances, UL 103 for details.11 Draft Loss Test11.1 A terminat
、ion cap for a masonry chimney shall not impose a draft loss of more than 0.01 inch (0.25mm) water column as determined in accordance with the test method described in 11.4.11.2 The Draft Loss Test shall be repeated on as many sizes and designs necessary to determinecompliance to 11.1.11.3 When a ter
、mination cap is intended for use with a range of chimney liner sizes, the Draft Loss Testshall be conducted with a liner representing the largest cross-sectional area specified for use with thespecific size termination cap.11.4 The test chimney and/or clay liner is to be installed and the flue-gas g
、enerator is to be fired as forthe Temperature Test 1000F (538C) Flue Gases, Section 20, of the Standard for Factory-BuiltChimneys for Residential Type and Building Heating Appliances, UL 103. The draft in the chimney linerat the inlet is to be determined while the cap is in place and also while the
、cap is removed. The differencebetween these two values shall be not greater than 0.01 inch (0.25 mm) water column.AUGUST 23, 2007 SUBJECT 907A 7UL COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL NOT AUTHORIZED FOR FURTHER REPRODUCTION ORDISTRIBUTION WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM UL11.5 The duration of flue-gas generator firing shal
