17、his standard establishes minimum requirements for certification of fall protection products covered by the An Si Z359-series standards. it is intended that this standard addresses certification for fall protection products covered by the An Si Z359-series standards will comply with the requirements

18、detailed in this standard. n either the standards committee, nor the secretariat, states that this standard is perfect or in its ultimate form. it is recognized that new developments are to be expected, and that revisions of the standard will be necessary as the state-of-the-art progresses and furth

19、er experience is gained. it is felt, however, that uniform guidelines for fall protection programs are very much needed and that the standard in its present form provides for the minimum criteria necessary to develop and implement a comprehensive managed fall protection program. t he Z359 c ommittee

SCOPE, PURPOSE, APPLICATIONS, EX- CEPTIONS AND INTERPRETATIONS 1.1 Scope. t his standard specifies requirements for qualification and verifica

42、tion testing of An Si/ ASSe Z359, Fall Protection Code, products. it includes requirements for third-party testing, wit- ness testing and manufacturer testing of fall pro- tection products to the requirements of the An Si/ ASSe Z359 standards. 1.2 Purpose and Application. 1.2.1 t his standard specif

43、ies minimum require- ments for third-party testing laboratories and product manufacturer testing laboratories when testing fall protection products against the An Si/ ASSe Z359 standards. 1.2.2 t his standard specifies minimum require- ments for test equipment and the number of test specimens to be

44、used when testing fall protec- tion products against the An Si/ASSe Z359 stan- dards. 1.2.3 Before any product shall bear an An Si/ ASSe Z359 marking or be represented in any way as being in compliance with any An Si/ASSe Z359 standard, the requirements of this standard as well as the associated pro
