Physical Properties5.1 Water-resistive Barrier:5.1.1 Factory-attached water-resistive barrier shall provide aone mesh wire to wire lap joint at one end and one

9、 edge of eachflat sheet or roll. Attachment of the water-resistive barrier shallallow lapping of wire-to-wire and water-resistive barrier towater-resistive barrier of one mesh at ends and edges and shallpermit full embedment in not less than14 in. (6.4 mm) ofplaster of not less than one half the tot

10、al length and width of thewire.5.1.2 Factory-attached water-resistive barrier shall have aminimum tensile breaking strength (dry) of 20 lbf/in.(3.5 kN m) width, as tested in accordance with Federal Speci-fication UU-P-31 B, Method 171.6. Dimensions, Weight, and Permissible Variations6.1 Openings:6.1

11、1 Woven wire plaster base shall be fabricated to providethe size of openings in accordance with Table 1, except that anysingle opening shall be not more than 3.0 in.2(1935.5 mm2).6.1.2 Wire diameter for opening size shall be in accordancewith Table 1.1This specification is under the jurisdiction of

17、cor-dance with Table 1.6.5 When included as part of the woven wire plaster base,factory fabricated stiffener wires shall have a diameter not lessthan that specified in Table 1 and shall be continuous, parallelto the long dimension of the plaster base, and shall occur at notmore than 6-in. (154.4-mm)

18、 intervals.6.6 Factory fabricated crimps for self-furring woven wireplaster base shall provide a nominal14-in. (6.4-mm) separationbetween the back plane of the plaster base and the surface ofsolid backing to permit embedment in both directions.6.7 Width of woven wire plaster base shall be not less t

19、han36 in. (914 mm).6.8 Length of woven wire plaster base shall be in accor-dance with Table 2.7. Inspection7.1 Inspection of the material shall be agreed upon betweenthe purchaser and the producer or supplier as part of thepurchase agreement.8. Rejection and Rehearing8.1 Material that fails to confo

20、rm to the requirements of thisspecification shall be reported to the producer or supplierpromptly and in writing. The notice of rejection shall contain astatement documenting how the product has failed to conformto the requirements of the specification.9. Certification9.1 When specified in the purch

21、ase order or contract, theproducer or supplier shall furnish a report certifying that at thetime of shipment, the materials were in compliance with therequirements of this specification.10. Packaging and Package Marking10.1 PackagingWoven wire plaster base shall be pack-aged in bundles, rolls or pal

22、lets.10.2 MarkingUnless otherwise required by the purchaseagreement, lath shall have legibly marked thereon the follow-ing: the product description; the name of the manufacturer ordistributor, country of origin and contact information; thebrand name (if any); and the ASTM designation for theproduct.

23、10.2.1 Each bundle or roll of lath without factory-attachedwater-resistive barrier shall be marked with metal or paper tagssecurely attached to the bundles or with metal tags, paper tags,plastic or metal banding or paper wrapping on rolls.10.2.2 Each flat sheet and roll of lath with factory-attached

24、water-resistive barrier shall be marked on the water-resistivebarrier or face paper attached to the water-resistive barrier.10.2.3 The quantity for flat sheet bundles shall be squareyards and number of sheets per bundle marked with metal orpaper tags on the pallet or bundle. Rolls shall be marked wi

25、thmetal tags, paper tags, plastic or metal banding or paperwrapping on rolls. The marking for flat sheets and rolls shallindicate the mesh-opening size and wire thickness of rolls.11.
