Materials and Manufacture4.1 Welded wire lath shall be fabricated from not less than0.0625 in. (1.588 mm
7、), cold-drawn, galvanized steel wire,conforming to Specification A641/A641M.4.1.1 Diameter tolerance for galvanized wire shall be inaccordance with Specification A641/A641M.4.1.2 The wire shall be zinc-coated (galvanized) in accor-dance with Specification A641/A641M.4.1.3 The factory-attached water-
8、resistive barrier shall con-form to Federal Specification UU-B-790 or ASTM Specifica-tion E2556/E2556M. The water-resistive barrier shall be eitherabsorptive or water resistant. The water-resistive barrier shallhave a bursting strength of not less than that required tomaintain integrity under normal
9、 hand- or machine-applicationpressures.4.1.4 The factory-attached water-resistive barrier shall beattached to the lath to prevent accidental removal duringshipping, handling or installation. Attachment of the water-resistive barrier shall allow lapping of wire-to-wire and water-resistive barrier to
10、water-resistive barrier of not less than onemesh at ends and edges and shall permit full embedment, in notless than14 in. (6 mm) of plaster, of not less than one-half ofthe total length and width of the wire.4.1.5 The thickness of the embedment of the lath and plastershall be measured from the back
11、plane of the back wire,exclusive of furring, to the water-resistive barrier or surface ofthe substrate.5. Dimensions and Permissible Variations5.1 Openings and Stiffening:5.1.1 Lath shall be welded at all intersections of wire toform openings not more than 2 by 2 in. (51 by 51 mm).5.1.2 Reinforced l
12、ath shall be permitted to be reinforcedcontinuously and parallel to the long dimension of the lath atintervals of not more than 6 in. (150 mm). Wires used for thispurpose shall range from 0.072 to 0.1205 in. (1.9 to 3.1 mm).Reduction of the size of the openings to less than 2 by 2 in. (51by 51 mm) s
13、hall also be permitted.5.1.3 Self-furring crimps on self-furring lath shall projectnot less than14 in. (6 mm) from the plane of the back of thelath.5.2 ThicknessThe nominal thickness shall be18 in.(3.2 mm), exclusive of self-furring crimps, with a permissiblevariation of 6132 in. (0.8 mm).1This spec

(19 mm).5.4 LengthThe minimum length shall be 48 in. (1200 mm)for sheets or a maximum of 150 ft (45.720 m) for rolls with apermis
19、sible variation of 634 in. (19 mm) for sheets or rolls.5.5 WeightThe weight, exclusive of factory-attachedwater-resistive barrier, shall be a minimum of 1.14 lb/yd2(0.618 kg/m2). The weight of reinforced lath, exclusive ofwater-resistive barrier, shall be a minimum of 1.95 lb yd2(1.058 kg/m2).6. Sam
20、pling6.1 When specified by the purchase agreement, samples ofwelded wire lath shall be taken at the place of manufacture orat the place of destination. If samples are taken at thedestination, such samples shall be taken within 24 h of thereceipt of the material.6.2 At least 0.25 % of the number of s
21、heets of welded wirelath in a shipment, but not less than three sheets, shall be soselected as to be representative of the shipment and shallconstitute a sample for the purpose of tests by the purchaser oruser.7. Inspection7.1 Inspection of the welded wire lath shall be agreed uponbetween the purcha
22、ser and the producer or supplier as part ofthe purchase agreement.8. Rejection8.1 Rejection of welded wire lath that fails to conform to therequirements of the specification shall be reported to theproducer or supplier promptly and in writing. The notice ofrejection shall contain a statement documen
23、ting how thewelded wire lath has failed to conform to the requirements ofthe specification.9. Packaging and Package Marking9.1 PackagingWelded wire lath shall be packaged inbundles, rolls, or pallets.9.2 MarkingUnless otherwise required by the purchaseagreement, lath shall have legibly marked thereo
24、n the follow-ing: the product description; the name of the manufacturer ordistributor, country of origin and contact information; thebrand name (if any); and the ASTM designation for theproduct.9.2.1 Each bundle or roll of lath without factory-attachedwater-resistive barrier shall be marked with met
25、al or paper tagssecurely attached to the bundles or with metal tags, paper tags,plastic or metal banding, or paper wrapping on rolls.9.2.2 Each flat sheet and roll of lath with factory-attachedwater-resistive barrier shall be marked on the water-resistivebarrier or face paper attached to the water-r
26、esistive barrier.9.2.3 The quantity for flat sheet bundles shall be squareyards and number of sheets per bundle marked with metal orpaper tags on the pallet or bundle. Rolls shall be marked withmetal tags, paper tags, plastic or metal banding, or paperwrapping on rolls. The marking for flat sheets a
27、nd rolls shallindicate the mesh-opening size and wire thickness of rolls.10.
