15、on for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established ha

16、s the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. Inte

Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the m

This part of ISO 1087 cancels and replaces clauses 1 to 6, 8 and partially clause 7 of ISO 1087:1990, of which it constitutes a technical revision. ISO 1087-2 constitutes a technical revision of

28、emic description of the concepts in the field of terminology and to clarify the use of the terms in this field. The compilation of this vocabulary provided a forum for analysing, discussing and coordinating key concepts found in ISO/TC 37 standards. This International Standard is addressed to not on

29、ly standardizers and terminologists, but to anyone involved in terminology work, as well as to the users of terminologies. The terms in this International Standard are listed in a systematic order under a number of general headings. The layout follows the directions given in ISO 10241. Thus, the ele

30、ments of an entry appear in the following order: entry number preferred term(s) admitted term(s) deprecated term(s) definition example(s) note(s) reference to another entry in bold face followed by entry number in brackets, when it is first mentioned Entry number, preferred term and definition are t

31、he mandatory elements of each entry. Other elements appear only when appropriate. The notation used in the notes throughout this International Standard is as follows: concepts are indicated by single quotes; designations (terms or appellations) are in italics; NOTE The use of italics facilitates the

32、 understanding of this standard, but it is not in conformity with ISO 10241. characteristics are underlined; types of characteristics are doubly underlined. The alphabetical index includes preferred and admitted terms. Annex A contains concept diagrams which represent the relations among the concept
