6、zation) is a worldwide federation of national Standards institutes (ISO member bodies). The work of developing International Standards is carried out through ISO technical committees. Every member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been set up has the right to be repres

7、ented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. Draft In member Council. ternational Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the bodies for approval before their acceptance as Internatio

8、nal Stan dards by the ISO Prior to 1972, the results of the work of the technical committees were published as ISO Recommendations; these documents are in the process of being transformed into Inter- national Standards. As part of this process, Technical Committee ISO/TC 72, Textile machinery and ac

9、cessories, has reviewed ISO Recommendation R 1865-1971 and found it technically suitable for transformation. International Standard ISO 1865 therefore replaces ISO Recommendation R 18654971, to which it is technically identical. ISO Recommendation R 1865 had been approved by the member bodies of the

10、 following countries : Belgium Israel Poland Czechoslovakia Italy Spain Egypt, Arab Rep. of Japan Turkey Germany Korea, Rep. of United Kingdom Greece Netherlands U.S.S.R. India New Zealand The member body of the following country had expressed disapproval of the Recommen- dation on technical grounds
